A whole fleet of UFOs wandered through the cosmos passing stars and asteroids full of beautiful colors and patterns. Finally, they reached Earth closing in on it assuming to destroy it, but instead, they charged down at full speed.

Queen Poppy awoke with a gasp, she looked outside her pod, it was still dark out. How long had it been since she went to bed?

Poppy: What is wrong with me...?

The moon was still shining in the distance. Unable to go back to sleep, Poppy stepped out of her pod still in her nightgown and wandered the forest. It was a little habit she had whenever she had trouble going to sleep at night, she would just take a little walk and burn out some energy. The pop queen sat down by a river, the sounds of the tiny waves splash against the surface always soothed her.

?: Poppy?

Poppy turned her attention to see Branch, her long time boyfriend. She couldn't help but giggle seeing him in duck slippers. Branch sat down next to Poppy and wrapped an arm around her, she rested her head on his shoulder.

Branch: I saw you come out here, everything okay?

Poppy: Yeah...I just couldn't sleep.

Branch loved Poppy and knew her well. By the look on her face, something else was bothering his sweetheart. Thankfully, it wasn't something huge otherwise she would be crying right now.

Branch: Hey...

Poppy glanced up at her boyfriend, he took her hands in hers and gave her a reassuring smile.

Branch: I'm your boyfriend, you can tell me anything.

Poppy smiled a little and looked down at the ground.

Poppy: I...I had a dream, not like any other.

Okay, that was a little odd, but Branch felt he had to hear her out.

Poppy: There were these giant ships...they kind of looked like Vibe City, but there were a lot of them...and they flew downwards at full speed.

Well, that was unusual.

Branch: What happened to your usual cupcakes and rainbows?

Poppy: I guess they just decided to take a night off.

Poppy chuckled slightly trying to shrug it off, Branch on the other hand only grew worried for his beloved.

Branch: Poppy...come with me.

Poppy gazed at Branch as he took her hand and led her to his bunker. He carefully scooped her up and laid her on his bed.

Poppy: Branch...?

Branch: Stay with me tonight, I insist.

Branch gently tucked Poppy into his bed giving her a kiss on her cheek.

Poppy: Are you sure?

Branch: Absolutely, I'll just sleep on the couch tonight. And if you have any other bad dreams, come and find me.

Branch began caressing Poppy's back gently, Poppy sighed and decided not to argue with him. Branch continued caressing her back until Poppy began to doze off, his gentle touch was like a soft lullaby whispering into her ear. Branch looked over making sure Poppy was fast asleep and left the room shutting the lights.

The night passed with no disruption, Branch would check on Poppy every now and then making sure she was still asleep. Luckily, she slept through the night peacefully, no nightmares or discomfort. When he was sure she was asleep, Branch opened a drawer and took out a small velvet box. He opened it revealing a lavender colored diamond ring, this ring had belonged to his grandma and he had been treasuring it ever since her death. But now, he didn't have a reason to hold onto it anymore, tomorrow was a big day. It was Poppy's birthday...and he was going to propose to her.
