In the morning, the Troll Village trolls got ready to head home.

"King Peppy," Chief Tula said, softly, walking up behind him. Peppy turned, looking at her, suspiciously.

"I would like to formally apologize for my behavior yesterday."

     Peppy smiled, forgiving her instantly.

"And I would like to apologize for my people building that dam without your permission. It really was supposed to be a gift to stop flooding in your village."

She smiled, but her smile quickly faded.

"About the dam... I'd like to explain to you why I got so upset about it."
"Of course," Peppy nodded.

"Well... it's just that..." She paused, catching sight of Branch, standing over with the rest of the snack pack.

She glared at him, looking suspicious.

Branch was talking to Poppy, laughing, and smiling, but his smile faded, when he noticed Chief Tula staring at him.

He gulped, backing up a bit, as his ears drooped.

Chief Tula turned her attention back to King Peppy, and smiled once again.

"Why don't we go talk in private..."
"Of course," King Peppy agreed. "Trolls!" He turned to the group of trolls, everyone looking at him.

"I will be back in a moment. Please... enjoy yourselves here while you wait."

King Peppy and Chief Tula walked off into the forest together.

Creek's dad watched, suspiciously, and then made his way to follow, sneakily.

Right before they disappeared into the woods, Tula glanced back at Branch, looking at him closely.

     Branch slunk away, frightened.

"What's wrong?" Poppy asked, noticing his fear.
"I... it's that Chief Tula. She freaks me out. I don't think she likes me very much."
"Aw, mate," Creek said, walking over, and placing his hand on Branch's shoulder. "No one likes you."

Branch glared at Creek, pushing his hand off his shoulder. Then he looked at Poppy, and smiled.

It didn't matter what Creek thought. Branch knew Poppy liked him, and that's all that mattered. And Branch liked Poppy right back.

     "AHHHHH!" they suddenly heard.

Everyone flinched, looking off into the direction Peppy and Tula went.

"Dad!" Poppy cried out with fear.

She started to run off towards where her father went, Branch following behind to protect her.

All of a sudden, fighting broke out amongst them, the Enchanted Forest trolls attacking the Troll Village trolls.

Branch looked around, as he ran after Poppy, his eyes wide. Everyone was trying to kill each other!

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Branch noticed a bolder coming at them, heading right towards Poppy.

"Poppy!" he yelled, jumping forewords to push her out of the way.

The rock slammed into the ground, pushing up dust to cover the area.

Poppy coughed, slowly standing up, as she looked around.

     "Branch!? Where are you!?"
"Over here!" she heard, the voice struggled to speak.

She looked over, but couldn't see anything with the dust circling around them.

Finally the dust began to clear. Poppy gasped, her eyes wide, as she saw Branch.

"Branch!" she yelled, running over to him.

The boulder was right next to him, crushing his right arm.

"Poppy..." Branch said, in pain. "Go. Run. Save yourself."
"No, Branch! I'm not leaving you!"

She pushed her whole body against the boulder trying to move it off of Branch's arm, but it was too heavy.

Branch winced in pain, closing his eyes, tightly.

     "Please, Poppy. Just go."

She looked at him, tears in her eyes.

"No, Branch," she said. "I can't..."

Suddenly, one of the Enchanted Forest Trolls began running at them, holding a spear up in the air.

Branch looked at him, his eyes wide, knowing he was going to attack Poppy.

"Run!" Branch yelled, pleading with Poppy to leave, but she wouldn't listen. She just kept pushing on the boulder, hoping it would move.

The Enchanted Forest troll came closer, and closer, suddenly being cut off by a line of fire, that circled its way around Poppy and Branch.

He stopped, looking at the gigantic flames, blocking his path, no longer able to see the two trolls on the other side.

"Ugh!" he yelled in anger, turning to run a different direction.

Poppy coughed, the smoke from the fire filling her lungs, as she continued to push on the boulder.

Branch looked around, coughing as well. He was looking for a way for Poppy to escape, but they where completely surrounded by flames.

"P... Poppy," Branch coughed, struggling to breath.
"It's... ok, Branch," Poppy coughed. "I'm gonna... get us both... outta here."

Poppy was determined to rescue them both, but Branch knew there was just no way, either one of them was getting out of there alive.

Branch coughed, his eyes slowly beginning to close, as he lay on the ground, unable to breath.

Poppy noticed him losing consciousness, and dropped down to her knees beside him.

"Come on, Branch..." she coughed. "You gotta stay awake."

He looked up at her, weakly, blinking slowly, as he continued to cough.

     "Poppy... I... I love y..."

His eyes slowly closed for a final time, as his words cut off.

"Branch? Branch! No! Wake up, Branch! You have to wake up!"

She shook him, gently, but he didn't wake up.

Her eyes began to get heavy, as she cried, coughing from the lack of air.

Slowly, she lay down next to Branch, too weak to sit up any longer.

"H... help..." she called out, in a quiet voice. "We... we need... help..."

Her eyes fell shut, as she too began to lose consciousness.

Suddenly, she heard something, opening her eyes, slightly.

A stream of water was splashing over the fire, putting it out within seconds. Then it headed to the boulder, pushing up against it, to move it off of Branch's arm.

Poppy watched, weakly, as the water transformed into a horse, picking up both trolls on it's back, before running away.

Her eyes slowly blinked shut, as she fell asleep.
