"Hello!?" Branch called out, walking through the dark of night. "Is anyone there!?"

     "Aaaaaaaaaa!" he heard.

     "Who's making that sound!?" he demanded, but there was no answer.

     He walked deeper into the forest, looking in bushes, and behind trees, but there was no one there.

"Hey. Sup?"
"AHHHHH!"

Branch jumped, spinning around to see Val right behind him.

"Val!? What... what the heck are you doing out here!?"
"I could ask you the same question," she said, crossing her arms, as she glared at him.

He gulped, and then smiled innocently.

"Me? I'm not doing anything," he lied, leaning up against a tree.

"Aaaaaaaaa!"

He gasped, turning at the noise.

"What?" Val asked, looking at him like he was crazy.

"That noise again..." Branch replied, still looking off into the distance, trying to figure out who was making that sound.

     "What noise?"

     He looked at her, confused.

     "Umm... that loud annoying noise."
"I didn't hear anything, bro," Val said, crossing her arms again.

     "Aaaaaaaaaa!"

     "There! That noise!" he said pointing in the direction it had come from.

     "I would ask if you're going crazy, but you can't go what you already are," she said, smirking.

     "Wait... so you're telling me... you can't hear that?"

     She shook her head.

     "Aaaaaaaaa!"

     He flinched, turning towards the sound again, his ears twitching, as he listened.

     "Yep. You're crazy."

     She turned, walking away.

     "Hey!" Branch yelled after her. "I'm not crazy! You're just def! You and Gary!"
"Yep. What ever, bro," Val said, continuing to walk. "He's crazy," she murmured under her breath, so he couldn't hear.
