Branch searched all around the school. Calling her name. Until he got to the playground where he saw Poppy sitting on the swing set. Sobbing her eyes out. He walked up to the sad troll. "Poppy are you OK?" He asked with concern. Poppy looked up at him with blood running out of her nose. It was obviously broken. "No. I'm *sob* not." She cried. "Why? *Sob* What did I *Sob* do to them? Why are *sob* they so mean to me?" Poppy cried out. He put his hand around Poppy to comfort her. And then he sat down on the swing beside her. He didn't know how to answer her question. Because he was thinking the same thing. Why were they so mean to her? What did she do? He didn't know what to do. He just wrapped her arms around her to comfort her. He wiped the tears from her face and looked her in the eye. "You did nothing to them. They just like picking on people that they think are weaker than them." He said in a comforting voice. Poppy's cries eased. "Thanks for... for being my only friend. I didn't think anyone would want to be my friend." She said still in a sad voice. Just then, Creek came up to them. "Hello, Grey Girl." He said in an evil voice. "Piss Off Creek." Branch said standing in front of her. "Why? Are you her boyfriend?" Creek asked sarcastically. "No. I'm her friend. Something you should be more of to her rather than what you are right now." Branch said in a brave voice. Creek then walked right up to Branch and his nose practically touched Branch's. "Listen new boy. Stay out of this. Otherwise, you'll be my next victim." He said in a quiet intimidation voice. "Oh, me? Your next victim? As if." Branch said sarcastically before punching Creek right in the middle of his face. Just like how he punched Poppy. "Next victim yeah? Next time, know who you're messing with before you make threats." Branch said angrily before taking Poppy by the hand and heading back into the school. Creek watched them walk back into the school and just got up. He wiped the blood off his nose and said "Big mistake new boy. Big mistake." in a very intimidating voice.
