First of all before starting this, we like to clearly state that any similarities between other stories is purely coincidental and it's a fiction.... We don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings or sentiments about any player/ players.

Last Test Match of Nidhas Trophy:

A day before the match:

Rohit:Vi... Vi....hum sab seniors bahar jaa rahe hai...

Virat:kaha??

Rohit:yuzi ka shaadi hai na...shopping ke liye jaa rahe hai hum...kyunki iss ke baad tho humko free time nahi hai na...

Virat:tum log jao...Meri ek meeting hai...wo kuch endorsement wali...tho mera bhi tum hi lelo..

Rohit:aise kaise chod ke jau mein??

Listening this ,jaddu who wants to spend time with vi as it's been so long immediately said:tho mein bhi rukhta hu.... company bhi hojayega uska...waise bhi mera mann nahi hai ..mera bhi aap log kar lena...and iss bandaro ki sena haina humara , unlogon pe bhi nazar jo rakhna hai...

Rohit: teekh hai...bye vi and jad..saying this all the seniors (shikhi paji,Jinks, ash,Bhuvi and ro) left the hotel..

Room:
Jaddu:Veer... suno...mein mobile leke aata hu..
Veer:ha(watching his laptop)

After 10 min,jaddu found 'his' veer on the bed having his hand on head and laptop beside him...

Jaddu: veer....veer ..
Vi:Ha revdi....(this is the nickname with which jaddu's mom used to call him and very few ppl such as his u-19 teammates do call him so even now..
But it reminds him of his mother,may be that is the reason vi doesn't call him that anymore atleast in public)
Jaddu(surprised a bit  but taking Vi's head on his lap):kya hua...sar dard ho raha hai kya...
Vi:ha...
Jaddu:mein daba du...
Vi:hehhe...nahi rehne de...kya pata sar ki jagah tum mera gala hi daba de..

Both of them laughed merrily on this and started discussing about how far they have come from the u-19 days,the tales of malaysia, Jamnagar ..Basically it was jaddu who did most of the talking with vi humming a yes or adding something here and there...
After a while,vi got up and said:chalo ... Hanku...time to get back to work...mujhe na wo meeting attend karna hai...

Then jaddu also said ok...mein yaha balcony mein hi reeva se baat karta hu...bahuth time hogaya...wo chidayegi mujhe phirse ..

After almost an hour,finding jaddu still on call with bhabhi (talking to his horses also,who knows) Vi left to check upon the kids....

Firstly checking in his rahuliya's room and not finding them there,he proceeded to jassi's room and found the door bolted..Upon knocking it twice,he sighed a breath when he found his entire vanarsena there(kulcha,jassi,rahul,rahul chahar,navdeep,Harry and Shreya)..

Chuckling to himself  and seeing the kids in some serious discussion, he  plopped beside rahuliya  asking "kya hua...kya chal raha hai yaha...itna serious shakal kyun??"

To which rahul chahar replied "aap ke hi baarein mein...jaise aap ek player ko against another bhadkate the ho...jaise aap lobbying karte ho..."

Virat was shocked and looked around towards others(like jassi,rahul,kulcha,nav, Harry) who are close to him to see whether they are kidding as sometimes aisa masti mauz chaltha hi hai...

But seeing none of them laughing or protesting and jassi questioning "bhaiyya kya aapne kabhi kisi ek player ko jyaada back kiya kya when u even know that there are better players in the squad??I mean selectors ke paas lobbying kiya just because they are from RCB?"

He was supported by a grim faced rahuliya asking him "Virat is this what you meant when you said that I know about you more because you played for rcb and I'm gonna prefer you to anyone else"??(here Virat actually meant it in a very different way which was taken in a negative way)

Nav asked "Bhai...kya ye bhi sach hai kya I'm only in the playing xi because I was your queue card against another player?"

Unable to reply anything virat looked at his spin twins as if asking tum logon ko bhi kuch kehne hai kya??

A red  eyed kuliya flanked by chahal asked him "bhaiya kya aap wantedly out hogaye the wc mein??and kya aap ne match ke pehle hi ....."and stopped unable to utter the remaining words...

Completing his unsaid words chahal asked "match ke pehle hi....kuch logon se milke fixing kiya kya" But what hurt him to the deepest is shreyas statement saying "Aap se tho Warner and Smith behtar hai....jo bhi kiya sab ke saamne kiya ...using that sandpaper. . atleast piche so tho dhoka nahi diya"(no offence any Smith and Warner fans...not showing them in badlight...but ya this happened,they accepted and moved on...)

Initially rooted at a place not knowing what to do ,not even knowing whether this is a bad nightmare or even a worse reality and unable to bear his kids,the kids of ict throwing him accusatory looks he left the room in a state worst than death ....

Passing the corridors and not having a track of where he is actually heading to he came to his room and sat beside the bed supported by the wall looking into nothingness....

After 15 min:
Completing his call with reeva,arriving into the room to check upon his veer Jaddu was met with a virat who eyes were blank staring into nothingness fixated on a wall.....

Perplexed and tensed,jaddu immediately leapt to embrace vi at once and said:veer....veer.....dekho yaha....kya hua...batao na veer....1 ghante pehle tak toh sab teekh hai na,achanak kya hua...

Vi:no response

Seeing him not responding at all he again started shouting:veer....kuch tho bolo na ....if this is one of yours and the kids plan na let me tell you,you guys are successful...tum na mujhe dara rahe ho...accha cheeku....kuch tho bol....tumhe ye naam se mein bulaun tho accha nahi lagta hai...so scold me na...gussa karo na mujhpe ... please...atleast baat tho karo...veer...tumhe mujhe sach mein dara rahe ho...veer mere yaar...bolo na kuch ...

And tears started making their way to his eyes...

Still seeing him not responding jadeja slapped Vi on his cheek continuously ..

On the other hand listening the word kids from jadeja's mouth, Vi winced a bit and very slowly said in a grave voice
"Revdi.... Kya mein ek cheater hu??"

This blew away jadeja's mind but knowing he has to handle this very delicately as he can see the old veer now infront of him not the I'm aggressive virat kohli or the cheeku or Vi bhaiya but the Virat Kohli whom he has seen 13 years ago...the Virat who is in a similar position after his father's death...his veer who had a similar breakdown and panic attack...

Firstly making him sit on the bed  having a previous experience of this and upon Slowly coaxing him while sidehugging him still,patting his head and back alternatively jadeja managed to find out the reason....The reason for his veer's halath ....

And so when his(Vi's head) almost fell on his shoulder even though initially panicked,upon realising he fell asleep jadeja made him sleep on the bed comfortably,covered him in a duvet, kissed on his forehead ..Having a last look before he does his work, Jadeja left the room with a single thought ye kaise hogaya?? and warning bells reminding him in his mind that through this entire ordeal ,veer didn't cry at all,didn't let out his emotions at all ...not even a single drop....

Jadeja with fire in his eyes confronted the entire younger unit who seemed to be resting in the lounge area shouting:
Kya ho raha hai yaha....?? What are you guys thinking of yourself...??tum log hote kaun ho wo sab bolne wale ??kisne diya tum logon ko wo adhikar??wo sab baatein bolne ki ijazat??Aakhir kya chahte the  tum log??Kya....?? Aise kyun khade ho ??Koi ...kuch tho bolo .."

The seniors entered the lobby from shopping to witness an enranged jadeja and are greeted  by the ear deafening shouts of their ever calm Jadeja  scolding the juniors with Virat no where in sight...The entire lobby is filled with people who are actually gossiping into each other's ears...

Seeing this rohit immediately approached jadeja saying:jaddu...andhar jaake baat karte hai...

Jaddu replied shouting:nahi...koi kahi nahi jayega...

To which rohit said slowly:jaddu ...ek baar pura dekhlo...bahuth log hai yaha...jo bhi baat hai andar jaake baat karte hai ..

Realising his veer will never want ICT to be on the headlines for something like this jadeja had to finally relent
