Grumbling, the pets and stray sat down as Pops cleared his throat. Gazing down at his angry audience, he began, "I know you're all upset. But trust me, you need this."

"Why?!" Snowball questioned loudly and threateningly. Max cowered behind Duke and Gidget. Not at the least frightened by the white rabbit's words, Pops explained, "I shall be telling you stories with valuable lessons within them. We shall start with a simple one I think you'll all enjoy very much."

"What is it?" Norman asked, the only one not bothered by story time. Smiling at the young guinea pig, Pops replied, "It is the story about the Pied Piper-"

"We love this story!" Leonard exclaimed as he and Sweetpea jumped up. The parakeet was doing somersaults in the air. Tail wagging, the poodle begged, "Please let us tell this! Please!" Pops shook his head, explaining, "I'm the one telling the story youngster so-" However, he didn't finish as Sweetpea pooped on his head. Muttering under his breath, he went to clean up while Leonard began, "Once upon a time..."
