Avni checked the time.  It’s
only 7.00.  Avni and Neil went together for the business dinner. They sat together at the back seat of the car. He didn't speak to her anything but Avni never missed Neil's  glances on her every now and then.  Neil was in his 3 piece black business suit and looking very handsome with his gelled hair.  Avni tried not to be affected by Neil's  aura but she miserably failed.
On the other hand, Neil too was mesmerised by Avni.  She was wearing a navy blue cocktail dress with simple makeup.  Her blue single stone ear stud casted blue strays of light on Avni's cheeks and neck. Neil gulped down his urge to touch those cheeks.
They seated side by side during the dinner.  Their elbows rubbed with eachother whenever they picked up their glasses or table napkins.  Avni felt her skin burning in that touch. By 9 in the evening they reached back at their hotel. "Avni.."
She halted in her way hearing Neil's voice and turned to face him.
"You did a good job today and.. you look gorgeous in that dress." Neil said looking in her eyes. Avni felt a pang in her stomach. Her cheeks turned warm. "Th..Thanks." She said with difficulty. Neil smiled. "Good night"
"Umm?  Oh! Good night." Avni quickly walked towards her room and stopped after 2 steps and turned back. There stood Neil with a lopsided smile, leaning on the side wall and hands in his pocket.
Avni blushed more and literally ran to her room.
She closed the door and leaned on it.
"What's wrong with me? Why am I behaving strange? What is with that smile and look of Neil? I don't like it. But.. I like it too! " She shook her head vigorously to get rid of the thoughts.  "I can't get distracted now. I have a plan to night. "

Neil felt elated. "Well... so, I do matter to  her just like she matters to me." He was deliberately avoiding Avni from Morning though it was a deadly task.  He was so sick of what Avni told the previous night. But, now he is relaxed. Now he knows how upset she was because of his behaviour and she blushed when he complemented her before saying good night. Neil jumped into his bed and laid staring the ceiling. Avni's blushing face appeared in his mind.  "I want to meet her now! Itna bhi late nahi hei. May be I can make some official excuses. "
Without wasting much time, he got out of the room locking it.

Neil reaches in front of Avni's room and knocks the door but gets no response.
Neil: She slept already?
He stood there a few seconds contemplating whether to disturb Avni's sleep and gave up finally.  After moving a few steps away he looks back. Neil sees a hooded person trying to enter Avni’s room. Neil: God ! An intruder? Unbelievable. Security staff kaha gaye?

Neil tip-toed to the person and held the hooded person with his both hand from behind and shouts: Thief...Help..

** A few minutes ago. **
Avni was up with her plan. She soon changed into jeans and T shirt
with a hooded jacket. Took some necessary things and put them inside the pockets of her jacket.
Avni was locking her room and she saw Neil coming to her.
Avni: why he is here? He will spoil my plans. Mmm.. ok I can hide here.
She hides behind a trolley in the corridor. Thank God he left! Avni stood up after Neil left.
"Oh sh*t! I forgot my phone. Need to take it from room."  She was going to open her room. Suddenly someone grabbed her from behind.

"Leave me! " Avni struggled in Neil's arms.

Neil: This is a girl! .
Avni: Chodo mujhe... Avni kicks on Neil’s leg and both of them fall down. Avni falls over Neel facing him and both together says: You?
Neil: Oh that's why I felt I know this voice.
Both stands up.
Avni is angry. "What was this?"
Neil:I thought it was an intruder. Why are you dressed like this? And where were you going at this time?
Avni: What's the problem with this attire. I like it.
Neil:ok.. fine. But where are u going? Avni:  I  am going to play cricket.  You wanna join?
Neil smiles. : Why not. I love cricket. Avni slaps her head: Whom am I kidding! By the way, why did you come here?
Neil fumbles: wo.... mein.. mm. Nothing just check on you. You're alright no?
Avni: I doubt it. Why are you fumbling? Do you have any hidden intentions?
Avni quirked her brows.
Neil gulps: No! I am a very decent man. You know?
Avni: Oh! Then you go and take rest and let me also.
Avni get inside her room.
Neil: ok. Good night.
Avni shut the door without saying anything.
Neil leaves dissappointed. After sometime, Avni peeps out of the room to check anybody is there. She finds no one and comes out and leaves for her mission.
The hotel Vidyut staying was not that far from Avni's. It was very luxurious and lively.
Avni: What is Vidyut doing here?
She walks into the hotel in a way that no one notices her and sit on the sofa holding a news paper. She overhears that a party is going on there.
Without thinking much she sneak in to  the party. The light was dim. She walks
through the crowd.
Avni in mind: I think he is not here. I thought he may be drugging here.
She sit on a corner.
Then she hear a voice on her side.
"Are you looking for me?"
Avni : (surprised)Neil, you?
Neil: So, the cricket match is happening here no? I told you, I love cricket.
Avni: Why are you following me?
Neil: What do you think? You can easily sneak out of my eyes. As long as we are here, you are my resposibility. If
anything happened to you, I have to answer everyone. So be a good girl and tell me the truth.
Avni: Ok..ok fine. Come.
They goes outside.
Avni: I think Vidyut is here. I happened to get his passport and I got this card from it.
Avni shows that hotel's card.
Neil: May be he is having some business  here. But what are you thinking.
Avni: What if we get some proof against him. If we get something, we can handover it to police.
Neil: Avni, this is not that
easy. He may be having a team with him. It’s not safe. let’s go back.
Avni: I know it's risk. But, what if we succeed? You don't want avengence? Neil: Fine. Let’s try it. But, Promise me that you will not do anything alone,We will do it together. Promise me that You
won't do anything dangerous, Ok?
Neil put his hand forward. "Deal?"
Avni held Neil's hand. "Deal!"
They lock their eyes holding each other's hands.
