*In the morning, at the Oberoi mansion*

[Gauri, carrying her bag proceeds to exit Om's room but turns back to take a last look at Om, who was fast asleep. Her anger had cooled down, but she still didn't understand the reason behind this sudden marriage. Her heart told her to stay but her head told her to leave and run back to Bareilly and surrender. She wiped her tears and headed to the main hall, where everyone would be.]

*At the main hall*

[Everyone's eyes turn towards Gauri]

Gauri: (Folding hands) Kal jo hua, hume khud samajh nahi aa raha, toh aap logo ka gussa bilqul jaayez hai. Maine aap Sab se apni asli pehchaan isliye chupai kyun ki mein apne behen ke qaatil se apne aap ko bachaana chah rahi thi. Woh log yahaan tak aayenge, mein bilqul nahi jaanti thi, sankarji ki qasam. Mera hamesha se maanana Hai ki bado ke ijaazat ke baghair banaye gaye rishte ka koi matlab nahi hota, aur na main aur na omkaraji iss shaadi ko maante Hai. Humne aap logo ko bahut taqleef di Hai, aur hum uss ke liye bahut sharminda hoon, lekin aaj ke baad, hum aap logo ko koi paresaani nahi denge. Ho sake toh Hume maaf kijiyega.

Anika: (Putting his arm around Gauri) Hum apne parivaar waalon ko kabhi besahaara nahi chodenge. Uss gunde ne tumhe haath bhi lagai na, toh hum uski taange tod denge!

Rudra:(Showing off his muscles) Aur nahi toh Kya, yeh muscles kabh kaam aayenge phir?

Jhanvi: (Caressing Gauri's cheeks) Mujhe maa bulaati ho na? Toh maa ki baat mat taalo. Main tumhe kahi jaane nahi dungi

Dadi: Anika, Jao Gauri ko waapis andar le jao

*Gauri and Anika leave*

Rudra: Waise, aap logo ko mujhe credit dena chahiye yaar. Meri 'bhabhi vibes' waali feeling EkDum sahi nikli!

Om and Shivaay: Shut up Rudra!

Shivaay: (To Om) Waise Om, tumne aage ka kya socha Hai?

Rudra: Arre aage ka Kya hai Bhaiyya, O toh bahut zyaada khush Hai! Aapne dekha nahi woh Gauri bhabhi ko kaise dekh raha tha? Rudra ke 'vibes' bata rahe Hain ki dono ke beech pakka ishqbaazi hone waali hai!

Om: Rudra, bahut bakwaas kar raha Hain tu! Aisa kuch nahi hoga.
Mujhe nahi pata Shivaay, Main khud bahut confused hoon! Main Gauri ko unn jaanwaaro ke hawaale kabhi nahi kar sakta.

Shivaay: Om, tu usse pasand karta Hai kya?

Rudra: Shivaay bhaiyya, wahi toh main kab se bataane ki koshish kar raha hoon!

Om: Nahi Shivaay! Main kab se keh raha hoon ki main iss ishq-vishq ke chakkar main padna hi nahi chahta. Yeh Sab bakwaas hai. Main sirf uski jaan bachaa raha tha, bas.

Shivaay: Yeh tu mujhe tassalli dilaane ke liye keh raha hai ya apne aap ko? Om, shaadi koi mazaak nahi hai, I hope you understand. Promise me ki tum Gauri ko kabhi dard nahi pahunchaaoge. Bechaari ne already bahut kuch jhelaa Hai.

Om: Ji bhaiyya, I promise.

[Shivaay and Rudra leave, leaving Om with his thoughts. Shivaay's words continuously played at the back of his mind.

"Om, tu usse pasand karta Hai kya?"

No. He couldn't like her. He was Omkara Singh Oberoi. How could he warm up to a girl so easily?]

*In Om's room*

Gauri: Didi, hum aapko bhojai bula sakte Hai?

Anika: Haan Haan, bula lo 'Devrani ji'!

Gauri: Bhojai ji, aap plij bura mat maniye, lekin Kya hum alag kamre mein reh sakte Hai? Bas kuch dino ke liye? Hum vaada Karte Hai ki hum khud yahaan aayenge kuch din baad.

Dadi: (Smiling) Dadi aur Maine already dusre kamre ka intzaam kiya hai. Woh jaanti hai ki tumhaare aur Om ke beech tension hai. Chalo, main dikhaati hoon

Gauri: (Embarrassed) Oh...Thank oo bhojai ji.

[As Gauri moves to her new room, Om goes back to his and realizes that Gauri is living in another room. His eye falls on the silver payal that is lying on the floor. He realizes that it's Gauri's and picks it up, before keeping it in his closet drawer.]

*In Gauri's room*

Gauri: (To herself) Aaj mujhe pata chala ki iss duniya mein acchai baaqi Hai. Sankarji, hum vaada Karte hai ki kuch bhi ho jaaye, lekin hum iss parivaar par aach nahi aane denge.

[Her eyes fall on her feet, and she notices that one payal is missing.]

Gauri: (To herself) Hey ram, kahi humne payal khadoos ke kamre mein toh nahi gira diya? Uff, Kya musibat Hai!

[Gauri walks to Om's room and knocks, before entering his room. Om turns and his gaze meets Gauri's.]

Gauri: woh hamaara ek payal shaayad yahaan--

Om: Yahaan par nahi hai

Gauri: Lekin woh--

Om: Yahaan par nahi hai.

Gauri: Haan theek hai. Sun liya tha humne, Khadoosji

Om: Kya kaha tumne?

Gauri: Wahi jo aapne suna! Chalte hain

[Gauri exits the room and Om is left confused. Why did he lie about the payal? Why didn't he just throw it in her face and ask her to get out? And most importantly, why didn't Gauri show her polite side to him? Why was he not worthy of it?

Gauri, on the other hand stood beside the window, wondering how miraculously god decided to help her. It would take her time to fully be a wife and accept Om as her husband, but she vowed to fulfill all the duties of a daughter-in-law. She vowed to be a shield for the Oberoi family.]

*In Dadi's room*

Dadi: Kitni ajeeb baat hai na Jhanvi! Ek mahine pehle Om uss mandir waali ki shikayat kar raha tha, aur humne kaha tha ki Om ko uski dulhan mil gayi. Kisse pata tha ki woh sach me uski dulhan hogi! Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh galti Om ka sabse accha faisla hoga. Gauri hamare Om ki takkar waali hai!

Jhanvi: Haan maaji. Mujhe dheere-dheere lagne laga hai ki Om aur Gauri ek dusre ki qismat mein likhe the. Warna itna Sab kuch kabhi nahi hota. Bas, inn dono ko iss baat ka jaldi ehsaas ho!

Dadi: Hogi Jhanvi, Zaroor hogi. Jab takkar waali mil jayein toh ishq apne aap ho jaata Hai!
