Recap:

Om:(While holding her hand) Chalo

-------
*At the orphanage, next to the temple*

Child: (Running towards Gauri and hugging her) Didi!! Aap aa gaye! Humne aap ko bahut miss kiya tha!

Gauri: Arre, hum aa gaye hai na! Ab hum kahi nahi jayenge

Child: (Pointing towards Om and Gauri holding hands) Arre dekho! Lagta hai Didi aur unke rajkumaar ek dusre ko pasand Karte Hai!

[Almost immediately, Gauri and Om let go of each other's hands, pretending that nothing had even happened.]

Om: (Shyly) Sorry, main bhool gaya aur--

Gauri: Koi baat nahi.

[Gauri was taken by the kids to a corner, where they spoke to her and she listened attentively. Gauri, still afraid and nervous, was conscious and alert at all times. Deep down, she still feared that Uday Thakur's men were around. She turned and looked at Om for comfort, who was still standing there and looking at her to see if she was alright.

A few minutes later, Om received a phone call.]

Om: (On the phone) Kabir, aaj ke saare meetings cancel kar do. I have an important task today, okay?

Gauri: (Walking towards him) Aap daftar nahi jaa rahe? Bahut der ho chuki Hai, aap jaayie

Om: Nahi, Maine aaj ka saara kaam cancel kar diya Hai. Aaj main yehi hoon.

Gauri: (Surprised) Kaam ko aise nazar andaaz nahi karna chahiye, aap jaayie, hum theek hai

Om: (Softly) Main Tumhe bhi toh nazar andaaz nahi kar sakta

Gauri: Ka kaha aapne?

Om: I mean, main chahta hoon ki tum completely comfortable ho jao, toh main yehi rahunga, tumhaare paas

Gauri: (Surprised) A-accha, Jo aap theek samjhe

[Om took a seat near the kids, and as Gauri walked back to the children, she let out a small smile to herself. Om left his work to make sure she was fine. The fact that he considered her a priority had made Om's space in her heart slightly bigger. She reflected on the horrible things she said to him, and how she compared him to Uday Thakur, when they were in reality, poles apart.

Om glanced at Gauri and saw her walking towards him and stood up.]

Om: Kya hua? Sab theek hai?

Gauri: Haan, darasal woh bacchon ko kisi park Le ja rahe Hai, aap aana chahoge?

Om: Haan, Chalo.

*At the park*

[Gauri and Om walked around the park, while they and three orphanage workers kept an eye on the children playing. Gauri felt unusually happy that Om was there beside her. She felt safe and protected.]

Gauri: Aapko Bacche pasand hai?

Om: Thoda-thoda. Aaj tak kissi Bacchae ke saath itna interact nahi kiya hai, toh pata nahi.

Gauri: Accha

Om: But mom hamesha kehti hai ki jab mere Bacchae honge, tab mujhe pata chalega ki woh kitne alag Hai

Gauri: Haan, humaari ma bhi wahi kehti thi.

Om: Kya tum bacche chahti ho?

Gauri: (Startled) Ji?

Om: (Embarrassed) S-sorry, personal question, I mean, Kya tum, uh..., kabhi maa banna chahogi?

Gauri: (Embarrassed) Ji? Yeh kaisa--

Om: Sorry, sorry! Forget that, pata nahi main Kya bol raha hoon, sorry.

Gauri: (Blushing) K-koi baat nahi.

[Out of nowhere, A black Jeep crashes into the park and three men, dressed in black, step out of the cars, holding knives. Gauri's face turned blue in fear and she screamed.]

Gauri: (Screaming) Omkaraji! Peeche dekhiye!

[Almost immediately, a man slashed Om's back with the knife, and Om collapsed to the floor.]

Om: (Shouting) Gauri! Baccho ko lekar yahaan se jao! Main theek hoon!

Gauri: Nahi! Hum kahi nahi jaayenge!

[Gauri turned to the three orphanage workers and ordered them to flee with the children. Gauri was terrified. The possibility of the goons killing Om had terrified her.

As soon as the children left, Gauri ran to Om's side, and shielded him before another goon slashed her arm. Gauri's arms were tightly wrapped around Om's body. So tightly that she promised to shield him until the goons left. A few seconds later, she heard engines roar, and instantly, the goons left the place, leaving Om and Gauri wounded, in the middle of the park.

Gauri slowly opened her eyes and moved her body away from Om's before breaking down into tears.]

Gauri: (Crying, while running her hand down his wound) Unn logo ne...A-apko...

Om: (Wiping her tears) Arre, tum ro kyun rahi ho? Main theek hoon!

[The moment Om wiped the tear off Gauri's eyes, she wrapped her arms around his chest and hugged him tight, before crying endlessly in his arms.

At that instant, Gauri knew she was falling for him. It was assumed that Om would fall for her before she did, but Gauri's heart had warmed up to Om to a great extent the moment he saved her life. She began to realize that a life without Om was probably not worth living anymore.]

Gauri: (Crying) Hume maaf kijiye! Maaf kijiye Hume! Ee Sab hamaari wajah se hua hai, Hume pata nahi hum ka--

Om: (Wiping her tears) Shh...Chup raho. Chalo ab, utho. Ghar jaana hai..Aah!

Gauri: (Crying) A-aap iss haalat main, nahi...Hum ambulance ko--

Om: Koi zaroorat nahi hai, main gaadi chala lunga

Gauri: Nahi, hum taxi se chalenge phir

Om: Gauri main bol raha hoon na main theek--

Gauri: (Crying) Bas! Bahut ziddi ho aap! Chaliye, hum Taxi se chalenge!

[Gauri slowly helped Om sit in the taxi, before getting on herself. Within twenty minutes, they got home.]

*At the Oberoi mansion*

Jhanvi: (Alarmed) Kahaan gaye the tum do--Arre! Om! Gauri! Oh my god! Dadi! Shivaay! Jaldi aao!

Dadi: Hey bhagwaan! Kya hua bacchon? Anika, doctor ko bulau, Jaldi!

Gauri: Woh Uday Thakur ke aadmi ne--

Shivaay: (Angry) I don't believe this! No way! Main abhi police commissioner ko phone karta hoon! Bloody fools!

Jhanvi: Rudy, O aur Gauri ko kamre mein le chalo, jaldi!

[The doctor came in and stitched up Gauri's and Om's wounds. That night, despite always sleeping in different rooms, Gauri felt uncomfortable being away from Om. She was afraid that he might hurt himself while he was asleep.

Then, In the middle of the night, Gauri did something she never thought she'd ever do in her marriage with Om. Share the same room with him. Gauri slowly picked up her pillow, trying not to wound her already injured arm, and slowly entered Om's room, before sleeping on the couch that lay beside the window.
She felt comforted knowing that Om was sleeping peacefully, and despite how uncomfortable the couch felt, she was willing to sleep there in order to guard him.

That night, Gauri learned two things: That she would be Om's shield and that her life without Om would be something unimaginable and terrifying.]
