I pedaled my bike into the large parking lot of the Ocean Point Harbor early that Monday morning just as the morning mist began to fade because of the rising sun. I parked my bike on the bike rack, retied my shoelaces, and walked off to the tennis courts.

Margaret was already there, as were several other kids. They were all wearing tennis whites and had sunglasses and hats and fancy raquets. I ran over to Margaret to say hello.

"Hey!" Margaret greeted me. "You excited?"

'You bet!" I said. "This is going to be the best summer ever!" We high fived eachother and giggled. I'm so happy my best friend goes to the same summer camp as me.

Our tennis instructor eventually came out of the pro shop, which is really just a fancy word for tennis store and office. They have things like clothes, sneakers, and racquets on sale in there. We began to warm up, play some tennis games, and eventually it was time for lunch.

Margaret and I walked off of the courts over to the center field of the harbor, the place we usually eat our lunch. We were exhausted and our faces were flushed, but we were smiling from ear to ear.

I took a beach towel out of my backpack and laid it down on the green grass of the center field, under the shade and protection of a large tree, and smoothed it out, making sure there were no wrinkles. I sat on the towel, and Margaret sat beside me. We each took out our lunchbox and began to eat. The skies were sunny, and the breeze was fair. It would be a good day for sailing.
