Margaret and I looked around. We heard a voice calling, "Adventure Sailors! Adventure, over here!"

Sitting on the stone wall just outside of the camp building was a girl who had to be at least eighteen. She had brown hair in a ponytail, and deep brown eyes the color of chocolate. She had a woven cowgirl hat on her head, and she was holding a clipboard labeled, "Adventure."

Margaret and I walked over. "Margaret Leroy and Mattie Saylor," we introduced ourselves.

The girl made a mark on the clipboard with a pen, and smiled. "I'm Ally. I'm coaching Adventure along with Jackson."

"Nice to meet you!" I said, trying to sound as cheerful and friendly as possible. After all, it is summer.

Just then, another familiar face walked out of the camp building. It was Russell Billings. The Billings family were very close friends to the Leroy family. That's how I knew Russell, and his younger sister, who was around Lila's age.

Russell is twelve, one year younger than me and Margaret. He's got blond hair, blue eyes, and he's obsessed with Pokemon. He's a nice person, but Margaret has known him longer than I have.

"Russell Billings, checking in!" Russell said to Ally. Then he turned around and faced me. "Hello Mattie! I forgot you were in Adventure Sailing! I swear Margaret told me a zillion times, but I always forget."

"Hey, Russell!" I replied. "And it's okay."

Ally stood up from her seat on the wall. She looked at her clipboard. "Okay, the majority of us are here. Let's head over to the tree in the center field. Jackson and the others are already over there." She said. Her cowgirl hat fell off of her head and hung around her neck by a leather chord.

As Russell, Margaret, Ally and I walked over to the center field, my hopes were higher then ever. This summer was going to be amazing. I had a new friend, who also happened to be my sailing coach. Russell was in my group. The skies were blue. I linked elbows with Margaret and smiled. We were going to have so much fun!
