This is some random story... yeah just random and sad...

The young couple had their heads tilted down as they walked on the pavement in the park. They looked towards the baby bump on the woman's stomach. It was their soon-to-be-born baby. Their faces were filled with glee and love. Taylor, the woman, was the youthful age, 19. Jake, the man who walked beside the woman, was an even younger age, 18.

Both were in college, yet they had a baby on the way. The couple was unsure about the baby due to their current situation, but they had quickly realised the horrid tragedy that would come upon them if they were to get an abortion. They looked at their creation as a symbolism of the love they had for each other. They were proud for what they've done and did not have an ounce of regret in their bodies.

Taylor supported herself by holding Jake's hand and sat down on the bench. One held her lover's hand, and one held the baby inside her. She looked onward, admiring the beauty in the nature that surrounded them. Jake, on the other hand, had his body completely directed toward his lover. His hand caressed the baby bump on Taylor's stomach. He couldn't help but be absolutely grateful for the child his lover would be delivering to him. To the both of them. His admiration is easily shown through that wide grin. Soon, Taylor began watching the children who came to the playground near them.

"Jake?" Taylor's voice was gentle and soft as she addressed her lover's name. He hummed in response. "You think our child is going to be filled with energy?" She paused before an amused smirk played on her lips. "Or do you think they're going to be like you?" A small laugh escaped from her.

She instantly got a response filled with passion. "What do you mean like me?  Are you calling me lazy?" His voice feigns innocence and hurt.

She replies with, "We both are, but I suppose it doesn't really matter. We'll love our child no matter what, right?" Taylor sends a smirk to Jake.

"Yeah, like how you'll love me no matter what. We'll love our child no matter what."

"Oh, I remember when I was a child..." Taylor spoke as if it's been forever since she's been a child. As if she were reminiscing old memories.

"Stop it, Taylor. You're talking as if we're sixty." Her lover joked with amusement hinted in his tone. A long, comfortable pause sat in between them. They eyes followed the children, their laughter and screaming audible to those miles away.

"Jake?" Taylor started once again, this time, her eyes were glistening. This time, her voice, quieter and softer than earlier. "I love you."

Jake let out some air through his nose, trying to imitate a laugh. He smiled calmly at his lover and held her hand tight. He whispered, only so she could hear it, "I love you too baby." As he leant in, his lips lingered on her cheek, wishing his happy moments would last forever.

"JAKE!" She cried almost causing the two of them to crash into the tree. Jake swerves and swerves again, driving properly. "Taylor, baby, what's wrong?" Urgency and worry was evident within his voice. His eyes began to frequently dart from the road to Taylor. "Is it our baby?"

"YES!" Taylor moaned out in pain. Pain continuously poked at her. Jake's dangerous driving didn't help either. He made a sharp turn, heading towards the local hospital. He muttered an apology as a sweat bead rolled down his forehead. Though, that was no comparison to Taylor. She was sweating crazy and her eyes were shut tight, trying to endure the pain.

A little while later, Jake was stuck in the waiting room, his leg bouncing up and down in anxiety. He formed his hands into fists so tightly they began to turn white.

In the delivery room, Taylor is found panting and screaming as she pushes her baby outside of her womb. Many soothing words attempted to make their way to her ears, but she couldn't bare to listen to anything. That is, until she managed to hear her baby's wails and cries. When the doctor took the baby, her body finally relaxed and tears immediately streamed down her cheeks. Finally, when the baby was wrapped in white cloth, he was given to his mother. As if like a puzzle, when Taylor held her baby, it felt like every thing clicked into place. She was filled with joy, love, and utmost satisfaction.

After a few minutes of smiling down at her child and cradling his head, Jake burst through the delivery room and rushed along his lover's side. Only then does Taylor begin to get taken over by dizziness and fatigue. There, she lay passed out in the hospital bed, and the baby boy transferred to his father's hands.

"Please step away from the patient. Otherwise, we won't be able to examine her." The doctor said formally, impatient now after watching Jake holding Taylor's hand. Or managed to attempt to. His eyebrows furrowed, knowing that he had to step away for the best. Jake leaves the room and cradles his baby. Yet, he doesn't know if it's to comfort his son, or himself. He can feel something. Something terribly wrong.

As Jake sits there, he notices more equipment and people heading towards the direction of his girlfriend's room. He sweats profusely and prays that everything will be alright for Taylor.

Soon a nurse comes and calls the name, "Jacob Carver?" In a rush, the nurse repeated again, "Jacob Huff Car-" She was cut off by Jake's abrupt appearance. Within the short time, his eyes were red and his baby was trying to grab his face with his small hands. "Please go to room 320. A patient named Taylor is requesting for you." She paused, pity and sadness written all over her face. "She's at her dying breath."

As if Jake's heart couldn't pound anymore, he ran down the hall. His heart pounded in his head, blocking his ears. Before he could realise it, tears were quickly falling from his face. He burst through the room, once again. Instead of seeing Taylor, holding her baby with absolute joy, he saw her extremely pale. So limp, as if she were almost dead. He whispered as he rushed to her side, "Taylor?"

Taylor opened her eyes slowly. As if that movement seemed to tire her already, she let out a raspy groan. Just earlier, she was making jokes and was smiling. Jake couldn't believe his eyes. She spoke, lower than a whisper, "Jake?" She smiled as her eyes travelled down to the baby in his hands. "Jake... our baby. He's so handsome. Isn't he?" Her voice, weak and frail, managed to be heard.

Jake couldn't bring himself to laugh. With pain and fear in his voice, he cracked out, "He is..." He began to sob. "Tay-"

Taylor brought her weak hand to his face and caressed his cheek. He held her hand there as if it would be the last time. Feeling his wet tears, she said, "You're handsome too. You know that? Jake?" She smiled weakly at him.

Taylor gradually brings her up and carresses his face. Jake holds her hand to make it stay put on his cheek. "You're so handsome too, you know that Jake?"

"Tay-"

"Jake, you know I love you. And I would die for you, right?" Her voice began to crack and several tears were making their way down her face and neck.

"You're not going to die, though. Live for me Taylor. You're going to live." Desperation was everywhere. His actions, his voice. His face. "Ple-"

She interupts him once again, "I feel tired now Jake..." Her eye lids began to flutter closed.

"No." he whispered with pain engulfing his heart. The baby felt the tension and soon began to cry.

"Promise me, you'll stay happy. Promise me?"

"No, no, no..." With his response, more tears streamed down her face despite her eyes being closed. Her thumb stroked his cheek.

"I love you Jake. But I need to rest now. Take care of Max for us... He's my Christmas present to you. To us." she smiles and brings her face to his. She kisses him goodbye while Jake in unable to let go. Barely, she whispers on her last breath, "Merry Christmas."

Jake checks his wrist watch and sees the hands at twelve. It's offically Christmas Day. His tears fall onto his watch and three drops stays as he puts down his wrist.

He keeps his arms around her back and waist, tears falling onto her chest. "I love you too." he barely says, his throat closing up.

"Mr Carver? I don't think you are able to converse right now so here's a note of what happened to Taylor Lautner." The doctor's tranquil voice made him angry. He hoped his sobbing blocked out the doctor's sense of empathy. He really hoped, for if he didn't, he might've done something unforgettable.

Jake crumples the paper in his hand, putting his rage onto the poor piece of paper and takes the baby quietly going out to the hospital and back home. His mouth had a salty taste.

Dear Jacob Huff Carver,

Your significant other, Taylor Lautner, has died after she gave birth to your son, Max Carver.

Unfortunately, Mrs Lautner had an unstable and weak body, too weak for her to hold your child, give birth, and live on.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I hope you have a wonderful and happy Christmas.

Sincerely

Doctor Anthony.

There! A sad Christmas story yet ended in a kiss anyways!
