Just You

A Short Poem

========================

You ask me one day,
At the locker, you wait,
As I get ready for the day,
You then ask away.

"What would you like,
For Christmas this year?"
You know what I thought,
The many gifts you gave me then.

No matter the day,
Normal nor occasion,
Everyday perhaps,
A gift comes from you.

You listen every time,
Perhaps i'm dropping hints,
Maybe a book to read,
Maybe a stick and a drink.

"Give me anything," I answer,
"Anything you want,
Just not too colorful,
Or else i'll vomit out."

But really, I joke,
I'll appreciate it all,
You've given me too much,
All I offer are words.

At times I feel guilty,

Though my pride won't let me show,
Not that i'm very proud,
Embarrassment doesn't get me.

I'll only think of ways,
Though creativity isn't my thing,
But perhaps I could write,
And show my creativity there.

Don't try to please me,
Don't try to impress me,
Don't give me gifts,
That you think I would love thee.

It doesn't really matter,
Words are good enough,
Just know this my best friend,
That you being there is enough.

Perhaps you haven't realized,
Perhaps you are now,
Ever since we became friends,
I've had gifts ever since.

========================

Dedicated to RiceItsSelf for giving me not only many physical gifts that I can't even compare to, but by simply being my best friend. You don't realize that you've been giving me gifts ever since we became friends.

MUWHAHAHAHHAHAHA! I HAS FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO YOU! *Ahem* Anyways, hope you liked it!
