Walking down the streets of Amity was none other than Rin ‘man I’m so hungry’ he mentally cried, but walking past a particular building he saw on the window seal of the structure was a help wanted sign. Taking a second to look at the sign he decided to check it out ‘I’m gonna need a job if I’m gonna eat or find a place to stay somewhere’. Walking into the doors of the building he was greeted by the smiling faces of McRonalds establishment “hello~ sir what can I get for you today” said the young teenage girl, gathering his confidence Rin smiled back happily “actually I was wondering if the manager was in today?”. In return the girl nodded her head “yes, she’s just in the back I’ll go get her for you, be back in a few seconds” she replied before disappearing into the back room.

A minute passed before she returned with a older woman “what can I do for you?” maintaining his smile Rin looked directly in her eyes “I saw your help wanted sign in the window and was hoping to apply for any open positions” looking at the young demon she noticed he didn’t have a resume with him “yeah ok, but where’s your resume?” she said.

“Resume?”

“Yeah your resume, I’ll need it”

“...ummm, do you really need one?”

“Yes…”

“Can I just fill out an application or take an interview now while I’m here?” Rin replied nervously.

Looking at him in disbelief she pushed the bridge of her nose with her fingers and let out a heavy sigh before replying “ok fine, I’m only doing this cause we need as many new employees as soon as possible” she said while handing Rin a application form. She looked back at him “once your done filling this out I’ll be in the back waiting for you to come do your interview” beaming with happiness Rin smiled brightly “thank you so much! I won’t disappoint” letting out a small laugh the lady spoke “sure kid” before turning away into the back room. Grabbing a pen Rin started to fill the application form, making sure to answer truthfully as possible as he could in the application form. Once done he took the form and started following the path the manager took into the back room he assumed was where her office was.

As he confidently entered the room he saw the manager waiting at her desk, arms folded, warm smile, and a chair positioned opposite from her.
"Come take a seat" she offered, Rin nodded as he approached the chair before sitting down.
"So tell me why you are interested in working here?"
"It's not so much here, but I want to work in a upbeat environment where I could be me and hopefully spread my love for cooking" at this reply she began looking confused and intrigued.
"Cooking? If your looking to cook why come work here and not at a restaurant? unless your not that good"
"No that's not the reason, I am a good cook but no body would want a 16 year old as a chief for a restaurant" looking satisfied with the reply she continued on.
"So at McRonald's we as employees are to up hold a welcoming smile and handle situations in a calm strategic way, do you think you could handle that kind of situation?"
"...yes I have confidence I can" the demon said lying 'no way I can tell her about my temper, sure I can control it better now but I still have my limits' Rin thought 'besides I really need a job if I'm gonna last long enough to finish this favour', nodding at the answer she continued forward asking questions.

Forty minutes had past before the manager was done asking her needed questions, coming out of the office Rin looked exhausted 'wow I had to lie a lot for some of the questions, but at least it's finally over' he thought as both of them went back out to the front. Stopping at the cashier desk the manager turned to Rin "you got the job! You start next week where we can start your training for the position of cashier and a trial to see how good you are at cooking, ok?" She said as Rin looked shocked.
"What...I thought I would have to wait or something"
"You usually would be we are really short on staff so the sooner we get more help the better" at this Rin nodded satisfied.
"Well any way let me introduce myself, my name is Taylor Clay and the girl over there is Amber Green"
"Hey my name is Rin Okumura nice to me you both!" He said with a goofy smile plastered on his face.
"Yeah nice to meet you too Rin, well I got to go back to work so I'll see you again next week starting at 12:00pm"
"Ok see you guys later!" He said waving back at them as he looked behind himself, walking out the front door.

YAY! Rin got a job👍and I know I said I won't be putting any oc's in this story but I kind of needed someone to play the roles to this chapter so here are minor characters that will play hardly any part in the story (unless for some reason you guys want them to have a bigger role). Any way both Taylor and Amber look like the two characters in the image above (Taylor on left side and Amber on right). Oh and good but bad news, I'm quitting my job but the bad news is in looking for another job which means I don't get any more time to write which sucks. And another thing to list in my excuses which are in some way a understandable predicament, so those of you who know I am in grade 12 but what you don't know is I'm taking advanced social studies (torture) and I constantly have to write source analysis and position papers about collectivism, liberalism, philosophers, fascist, and a bunch of other stuff like world events that have to be done in one class or so. Yeah it's not fun so usually by the end of the day I have no more writing motivation, which I feel bad about so I thought I would at least get this filler chapter out.
P.S. I'm dieing laughing looking at this because before I wrote this author note it was at like 890 words, now it's at 1095 words.
