Edd, Tom, and Matt were just about to arrive at the castle. They saw deep blue crystal. Not the kind of crystal you would find when mining in a cave. They stepped up a few stairs before stopping at two giant doors. Applejack gestured them to stay where they were, then she opened the door wide enough so she could slip in without them noticing anything. Edd heard some whispering before Twilight poked her head out, saying, "you can come in, now." The door opened even wider, allowing the three to enter with enough space around them.

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie hung on the ceiling together, waiting to jump down and surprise the new ponies. She looked at Pinkie Pie, pointing down at the floor with her right wing, using gestures instead of words to communicate. Pinkie Pie looked down, focusing, then, seeing her eyes widen slightly, she looked back at Rainbow Dash and nodded. They were here. Now to find the right time to...

"You call this a castle? I call this plastic toy merchandise for this show," Tom commented.

"Huh?" Twilight questioned.

"Nothing."

Pinkie Pie sucked in a quiet gasp. She knew very well that Tom didn't know anything about Equestria, but blurted something that would take such knowledge to know. He just broke the 4th Wall right there. Ohohohoho, this is gonna be so exciting!

Pinkie Pie gripped onto crevices in the ceiling with her back hooves, leaving her hanging upside down. She saw the trio of new ponies make way into the hallway. They were completely oblivious to the strange pink mess in plain sight. Getting ready for a suspense and release moment, she tied the end of a tough strip of ribbon to a crystal nearby, then tied the other end to her hooves. With plenty of ribbon left in between the two ends, she kept it wrapped around one front hoof, ready to let go once her victims were in range.

Meanwhile, Edd let the details of the hallway sink in. Many pillars in the walls had images of trees carved from them, all identical and holding the same details. On the ceiling, crystals plastered together, and the stained glass windows just above the pillars brought down daylight, refecting off the crystals and giving them a strange yet friendly glow. Edd continued moving forward, eyes focusing on a table at the end of the hallway. He quickened his pace, curiosity driving him forward. Did he see cake over there?

A certain pink pony suddenly dropped down from the ceiling. "Hi!" She exclaimed, startling Edd and making him jump back. Edd could see the ribbons she had used to keep herself hanging upside down from the ceiling. Heh, clever...

Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy came in behind Pinkie Pie, smiling. There also came Spike, who was finished placing a plate of rainbow-iced cupcakes on the table.

Edd and his friends appeared to be in a throne room. There were six thrones, each throne with a Cutie Mark matching the six ponies. There was a smaller throne next to the throne with Twilight's Cutie Mark, likely designed for speak. The thrones surrounded the table.

"Alright, everypony," Pinkie Pie squeaked, "TIME TO PARTY!!!"

The main 6 split up, and loud electronic music killed the silence. There was a barrel of water with apples in it, and Rainbow Dash dunked her entire head in, only to fish out a plastic toy alligator for some reason. Applejack laughed at the randomness. Fluttershy nervously crept close enough to hear Twilight's conversation with Rarity. Yet no one had bothered to touch the baked treats on the table, or look at the other cheesy games set around the throne room.

Edd and his friends were silent. This party didn't look like anything fun. Tom scowled. Matt was overwhelmed by the music. Edd had mixed emotions. This party looked like the kind of party someone would set up for their seven year old child.

After a few moments, Tom decided to walk to the table, where there were cakes and fritters. "Hey, 'friends'!" He called, "you wanna know how we really have fun?" A mischievious grin lit up his face. What was he up to? Probably nothing good.

Tom rushed over and grabbed a random plate of cupcakes from the table. The plate spun on his hoof as he held it. He propelled the plate into the air, then caught it.

Rarity gasped, mostly with nervousness.

Tom continued. He threw it into the air again. This time it lingered before floating back down. Once at a proper elevation, Tom suddenly kicked it hard enough to send it flying across the room. It hit the wall on the other side. The plate shattered. Most cupcakes splattered the wall, smearing colorful frosting all over. Whatever cupcakes survived just exploded on the floor.

The mares stared, silent, as Tom chuckled at the sight.

"Tom, what are you--" Edd tried to confront.

"GYYAAAAAHHH!" Tom cut off, leaping onto the table. He blindly scattered apple fritters and other treats. He accidentally kicked at Applejack's cup of fruit punch. The drink floated in the air before careening down. There was then a stifled yelp. Matt, who had slowly tried to back away, had been splashed with the red fruit drink like an arrow hitting a bullseye on a target.

Tom froze. He slowly turned to look at his friend, almost completely forgetting about being a pony. He wimced as he saw the enraged look in the ginger pony's face.

Matt shook off most of the fruit punch, then continued glaring, eyes wide with anger.

Tom glanced away. "I plead not guilty," he whispered.

"Guilty." Matt replied, words barely able to reach anyone's ears.

Silence dragged through the castle. Tom and Matt were still like statues. Edd edged back, just wanting the tension to release. Rarity glanced at her friends uneasily. Fluttershy was already shaking nervously.

Matt finally sighed, "screw it." He walked over to the record spinner, which had been muted. He glanced around warily before flipping it onto it's side.

Pinkie Pie had never gasped so loudly.

And this was only the beginning.

Edd looked at Twilight, only to find she wasn't there. He barely caught the lavender friendship horse from the corner of his eye. Craning his head, he saw Twilight quietly open a door, then walk through, and close it behind her using telekinesis. Edd had found out some time ago that he had a horn, too. Not like the dragon horns and wings he had expected, but it was okay, for now. But he didn't know how to use magic. He glared at the doorknob that was attached to the door, hoping something would happen. He pinned his ears back in frustration and confusion. How was he supposed to--

A burst of green aura lit the doorknob, and the door opened. Edd had focused on the door knob enough that he could barely twist it with magic. Quite pleased with himself, he gripped the door and opened it wider. Curious to see what was behind that door, he slipped in.
