Cabir asked Nandini,
Cabir: And abhi is??
Nandini smiled a little & said,
Nandini: He is my-
Abhi: I m her lucky LOVE.... Or i should say ur Jiju!!
Nandini smiled broader at his words but didn't say anything. Both Manik & Cabir looked at her with a blank expression. Suddenly nandini felt Cabir's grip tighten around her shoulder, she looked at his face & understood that her over-protective brother was getting furious so she smiled slightly & then punched abhi's shoulder slightly & said,
Nandini: Shut up u flirt!! Chill Cabir he was just kidding... He doesn't really has anyother work than flirting around with every other girl & I m his all time target. Actually abhi was there in Chicago for some of his bisuness work & was my neighbour.
Both Manik & Cabir sighed a relief listening to this,
Nandini: But seriously Abhi, what r u doing here??
But before Abhi could say anything, Manik said,
Manik: Nandini, Abhi is the same guy who helped Mukti last night & called me.... He came here to give Mukti's phone back...
Abhi: Ohh ya... By the way hoe is Mukti??
Manik: She is f9 now... Thank u!!
Abhi: Good... Chalo Now i hv some work, so see u latr guys..
he said to all & then said to Nanidni specifically,
Abhi: And u, my lady love, i knw u'll not invite me, so I'm myself inviting abhimanyu 4 dinner at ur place tonight.
Nandini smiled at him & then nodded in a yes. All day Mananbir were together all day, so Manik didn't get a chance to talk to Nandini alone. That afternoon they went to Aliya's place to meet Mukti. As they entered Nandini could see that Mukti was nervous to talk to Manik. She held her hand & blinked to her an assurance.
Nandini: Guys I think we should leave them alone to talk...
With this all of them left the room, leaving only Manik & Mukti. Manik looked at her & said slowly,
Manik: Now my lillte sis has grown up so much, that she can decide to take such drastic steps & that too just because of me!!
Mukti looked at him in shock. She had expected him to scold her but his words made her cry loudly & she hugged him hard.
Mukti: Sorry.... Sorry Bhai!! Plz don't say all this, its not ur fault at all... I don't know what I was thinking, what i was doing!! I m really sorry!!
Manik: Shh... Shh Bacha... Did I ask anything from u.... U don't need to say anything, but just think about one thing, what do u think would hv I been through after all that u were doing!!
Mukti cried louder & hugged him again.
Mukti: I m sorry bhai, I promise I won't repeat it ever!!
Manik: Ohk.... Chalo now lets go out & eat something...

In the evening Manik was sitting in his room & was thinking about Nandini,
Manik's pov:
" What is so special about her that i can't keep her off my mind. The way she speaks, the way she smiles, the way she handles everything around herself. Just her presence is enough to make the atmosphere lovely. I don't know whats there in her..."
Just then he remembered something & thought,
" That bloody abhimanyu, how can he flirt with Nandini.... Ohh God, now he is gonna be at her place for dinner. No, i can't let that chipku be with her"
With this he got up & half an hour latr, at around 8 pm he reached her place.
He entered & asked the servant about her,
Servant: Sir, u wait I'll call her!!
He moved in & waited for her, just then he heard Nandini's voice, " Abhi make urself comfortable, I'll be there just in a min."
She was probably in the kitchen, he thought & sat. 5 minutes latr, Nandini came out & saw him,
Nandini: Manik.... U!! I thought it was abhi, as he was gonna come for dinner.
Manik acted innocent & said,
Manik: Ohh I didn't know that u were busy, Its ohk, I'll talk to u latr.
Nandini: No no Sit na, anyway I was free only, say!!
Manik: Actually..... Nandini.... I came here to talk to u about...
Nandini: About??
Manik: About... Last night...
Nandini understood what he was trying to say & hence immediately looked down. Manik noticed it & said,
Manik: Nandini plz don't feel uncomfortable.... I m sry for what happened!! I don't know, I wasn't in my senses... A lot was going on in my mind & then I-
Nandini: Manik.... Relax u don't need to explain anything, I understand... Its ohk!!
Manik smiled broadly & got up & asked,
Manik: Really!!!
Nandini too got up & then said,
Nandini: Yes, i know it wasn't ur intention to do so!!
Manik got really happy & said,
Manik: Thank u, thank u so much.... U hv no idea what all I was thinking from last night. I was feeling so guilty.
Saying this he moved closer towards her & hugged her tight.Nandini again shivered by his touch but controlled herself so that he couldn't notice it. Manik kept on hugging her & soon Nandini too slowly hugged him back & closed her eyes. As he felt her hugging back, Manik closed his eyes & felt the hug. She was enjoying his closeness a lot. Both of them stayed like that for a long time & none wanted to move apart. But then they heard someone's voice, "Ahm Ahm". They got back to their senses & broke the hug. They turned & saw Abhi standing at the entrance.
Nandini: Abhi...
Abhi smiled at her & walked in saying,
Abhi: Hi.... I hope i didn't disturb u both...
Nandini: Ohh no, come!!
He side hugged nandini & shoke hands with Manik,
Abhi: Hey buddy!!
Manik: hey!!
Nandini: U guys sit, I'll just get something for u both.
Manik wanted to stay but still he thought that Nandini wouldn't lyk it & thus said,
Manik: No u guys continue, I hv to go...
Nandini: WHY???
Nandini said immediately but then calmed herself down.
Abhi: Manik plz stay na, go after dinner.
Manik: No I think I should go to Mukti for now!!
Nandini: So lets call FAB5 also here... It will be a good change for Mukti...
Manik: But-
Nandini: No buts, I'm calling Cabir!!
Nandini said sternly & turned to pick up her phone. Manik smiled at her, as he loved to see how she just expressed her right on him. Nandini called Cabir & said,
"Hello... Ya Cabir... No all's good, I called to invite u all 4 dinner... Arey abhi is also here na, u also come, it will be good for Mukti... U don't worry about Manik, he is already here"
And as she said this Manik thought, "Ohh Shit, now they r not gonna leave me"
Just then Nandini gave the phone to him,
Cabir: Manik.... U at Nandu's place!!!!
As Manik had expected Cabir asked the same question. But Manik changed the topic & said,
Manik: Arey that i will tell u when we meet so u pick up Dhruv & reach, till then I'll go n get Mukti & Aliya.
Cabir: Ohk cool!!
They disconnected the call & soon manik left to pick up Mukti n Aliya. As he left Abhi & Nandini sat for some chit chat & after some time Abhi suddenly said,
Abhi: So whats up between u & Manik??
Nandini who was drinking water, suddenly coughed & asked,
Nandini: What me & manik... Nothing??
Abhi: Come on Nandini, don't try to lie to me.I m not blind here. Today in the mrng also I saw clear anger in his eyes, he clenched his fists thinking that we were a couple. The relief on his face was awesome after knowing the truth. The way he looks at u speaks a lot & I saw the expression on ur face a few minutes back when u were hugging him.
Nandini looked here & there as a small child whose mistake has been caught, Abhi smiled at her.
Nandini knew Abhi had always helped her whenever she needed & she knew she could trust him so she slowly said,
Nandini: I don't know what to tell u abhi, when i myself am in confusion.
Abhi: Confusion.... Why tell me??
Nandini then told him everything, as how she met Manik, how she felt attracted towards him, How they became friends & then finally how she landed up in his house & the situation got awkward to which Manik apologised. Abhi heard everything pateintly & then said,
Abhi: Aww baby doll u r in love...
Nandini: No... Its not love Abhi, it can't be....
Abhi: And how can u say that.....
Nandini just kept quite & looked down.
Abhi: Ohk fine, lets not take it as love, but one thing is for sure that u both like each other & that too in a good sense... So, lets just leave it as it is...
Nandini looked at him in a confused expression.
Abhi: I mean, wait & give it sometime... Soon u urself will get to know what it is. Spend time with him, don't run away from him... And u never know, maybe he.. U know what I mean!
Nandini thought about his words & a small smile came to her lips thinking about it & then abhi said,
Abhi: Now come out of ur dream land.... My lady..
"Which dream land??" came cabir's voice as they saw Fab5 entering. As they both got up Mukti noticed Abhi & said,
Mukti: You!!
Abhi: Yes beautiful..
Mukti: What are u doing here??
Abhi: Tumhara picha!!!
Mukti: Shut up u Moron!!
Manik: Calm down Mukti, what happened??
Mukti: Manik, this guy... U know I met him yesterday ay the bar & he was sitting there & eating up my already screwed head by telling me the side effects of drinking.... I mean can u imagine...
All of them smiled & Cabir made Mukti sit. He told Mukti, Aliya & Dhruv about Abhi. Just as he finished Abhi moved towards Aliya & said,
Abhi: Nandini, won't u introduce me to this beautiful girl.
Nandini (smiling): Ohh ya, Abhi meet Aliya!!
Abhi sat on his knees & kissed Aliya's hand saying, "Nice to meet u beautiful lady...."
Nandini smiled at it & said,
Nandini: Abhi, no use... She is commited to Dhruv...
Abhi made a sad face & got back to his seat, as all the others laughted. Just then Mukti said,
Mukti: By the way Bhai, What were u doing here at Nandini's place today....
Manik suddenly looked at her & then at Nandini,
Cabir: Haan Manik, tell na...
Manik: Woh... Woh I was here... to discuss bisnuss with her...
As he said this, all 4 of them said in unison, " BISNUSS??". To this Mnaik simply picked up the glass of water & said casually,
Manik: Ya I forgot to mention it to u guys, Malhotra Industries hv signed a big project with Nandini's company.
Saying this he slowly started drinking water. All of them turned towards nandini, who supressed her smile & nodded.
Abhi: U know guys, both of them were so deeply discussing bisnuss that they didn't even notice me when I came.
As he said this Manik immediately coughed & Nandini turned towards Abhi 7 gave him a glare. Abhi kept on enjoying their condition, while nandini excused herself to get some snacks for everyone.
After that the party went on normally & they all enjoyed a lot.
The next day, Nandini reached the college & was moving towards the canteen, when she heard a announcement that all the students had to assemble in the audi. She also reached there & joined Aliya, Mukti & Dhruv as they were sitting in the front.
Aliya: Hey nandini!!
Nanidni: Hi guys...
Dhruv: Nandini, thanks yr we really enjoyed a lot last night!!
Aliya: Yah.. It was a gr8 dinner!!
Mukti: Except that idiot...
Mukti said reffering to abhimanyu. Nandini smiled at her & was about to say something, but just then Nyonika came up on the stage & said,
Nyonika: Good morning students!!
All of them settled down & she continued.
Nyonika: So yet again its time to pull up ur socks now... As we again welcome MUSICANA!!! So guys like every year Musicana is back... But this time its back with a twist. Yes, U heard it right... This year there is a twist in Musicana. The organisers feel that last year the compitition was a bit boring one, so this year just to make it a bit interesting this compitition will be held in three different groups. Like u all know till the last year this was only a band compitition, but now we hv solo, duo as well as groups allowed. Plus this compitition will be open not only for all of u but also for the normal crowd of this city, i.e., the people who hv passes out their college. The age limit for the contestants is gonna be 35 years. So guys get ready & work hard because this year also I wanna see the top contestants from our college only!!! BEST OF LUCK!!
Saying so she stepped down the stage & all the students started to disperse. Mukti, aliya, dhruv & Nandini also got up & were about to leave when Nyonika called out,
Nyonika: Mukti!!
They stopped listening this & turned, Nyonika walked closer towards them & said,
Nyonika: How r u Mukti??
Mukti: Thats none of ur bisnuss Nyonika!!
Nyonika: Come on... I m ur mother, at least i hv a right to know about ur where abouts...
Mukti: Nyonika... I think u hv forgotten!! U can know about me only in the presence of my guardian, i.e., bhai!! So plz...
Nyonika: Mukti chill... I m just talking to u!!
Mukti smirked at her & turned to leave as the entire auditorium was empty by then but Nyonika held her hand & said,
Nyonika: Mukti behave... I m ur mother!! U can't just show ur back to me...
Mukti(a little louder): Mother... Ohh really!! All u knew was to keep ignoring me all the time...
Nyonika(shouts): MUKTI!!
Just then a voice came from behind, "NYONIKA!!"
All of them turned to see Manik standing there with anger filled up in his eyes. He walked closer & then stood in front of Mukti, facing Nyonika.
Manik: You have no right to shout on her, remember that!!
Nyonika: Manik u need to stay out of it...
Manik: U knw what nyonika, I would really love to see u behind bars by staying out of this... But still this is about my sister so i think i hv to come in between!!
Nyonika gave him an angry glare & then turned. But just then she noticed Nandini & said,
Nyonika: You, whats ur name?? Don't you know that u shouldn't be listening to others conversations. What the hell are u doing-
But before she could complete, Manik stepped in front of Nandini & said,
Manik: Nyonika, plz go n get ur eyes checked bcoz i think u can't see that she is with us!!
Nyonika: With u??
Manik: Ohh i think u need to get ur ears checked as well!!
Listening this Mukti & Aliya started giggling. Manik simply held Nandini's hand & then gave an angry glare to Nyonika saying,
Manik: Lets go guys!!
With this all of them went away.
