The funniest thing is that I started writing the second chapter of Redux before I bought the book and it starts out really similar to this by 100% coincidence 0.0 .

So in the book, Mr. Tree doesn't plant trees... Mr. Tree gets planted... Not sure how I'm feeling about this, it does make sense though I guess..

Also "The Easter Button" and "Santa Cloth", I freaking hate it

So apparently Nolan is tall and muscular... Well, this certainly changes my impression of him. Personally I've been picturing him as the lanky, gangly sort with a pronounced Adam's apple and freckles e v e r y w h e r e.

Btw, yes, Lou still gets the bad ending in the novel too, not even a hint of a redemption. 😔 In fact, we don't even get the post credits scenes of him cleaning, the last we see of him is the washer.

Overall it's a great book, really interesting to see the changes that came in between when Robert Rodriguez first wrote the script and when Kelly Asbury finished the movie. Some things I wish they'd kept for the movie, others I'm glad they didn't.
