Some fan art that I made for an AU created and developed by LifeLongSong5 on DeviantArt. Basically the premise of Uglydolls: Rebellion is a darker and more political imagining of the UglyDolls movie. There are some other changes made as well, most notably, a lot of the characters have been recolored. Perfection is made to more closely match the Big World. For one thing, brown is the most common hair and eye color of the pretty dolls. In fact, no pretty dolls except for the ones considered "weird" (like Nolan and Mandy) are created with unnatural colors of hair, and the ones that are created that way are looked down on because of it. A few of the uglies have been recolored as well to stress how much different they are than everything in Perfection. The AU really goes out of it's way to stress the Xenophobia of Perfection, and the whole stress on their "the nail that sticks out gets hammered back in place" mentality.

I really think it's an interesting AU, it's such a shame that the creator has moved on to other interests already because I'm really interested in how this would have played out. 😔 Ah, well. At least there's still fan art. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
