We left the truck bird outside in a shoe box and wrapped it in a towel

And a while later, we checked on and it was gone?
There was no blood, and the parents were gone too
But we found a lil feather in the box

My little cousin is holding it btw

So, we honestly don't know what happened to it, the parents could've grabbed it (though I don't think that's possible?) a cat could've gotten to it, or maybe it flew away
