Pretty self explanatory.

1. Wraith is what the Wither Kingdom calls a Firebrand. It was part of her training to learn the practice, and it keeps her skills and senses sharp when she's not doing combat training or out on missions. I'll go more in depth later, but it's based on a real-life art called Fire Poi, an example of which I've put below.

2. While Flame is a pyromancer, she doesn't take damage from water.

3. Wild Card has never actually killed anyone.

4. The Ender side of Ranger's family were considered Purebloods until she was born.

5. The Wither Kingdom's high nobility is comprised of the Five Houses; House Valenciano (the current Royal House), House Ramos, House Corvinus, House Keriste, and House Halcyon.

6. Michael Freud and Scarlett Curie are named respectively after Sigmund Freud, Austrian neurologist and psychotherapist, and Marie Curie, a physicist and chemist famous for her work with radiation.

7. The last name Zenik (see: Dr. Calvin Zenik, Shawn Zenik) is from a character in Six of Crows, named Nina Zenik.

8. The part Jayne Finch played as a soldier in the Allied Federation was inspired by Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a Soviet sniper in World War II, credited with 309 kills and regarded as the most successful female sniper in history.

9. I came up with the name Harides (see: Harides Bolton) in my 9th Grade Biology class when I heard the term "monosaccharides."

10. I heard the surname Ramos (see: Julian Ramos, Lucía Ramos) from an actor named Anthony Ramos, who played John Laurens and Philip in the musical Hamilton.
