Why I feel so caged.

Am I kidnapped?

I opened my eyes to find myself caged by two arms while my head was resting on his chest.

Nothing can be more beautiful then this site everyday.. But sadly.. This is not in fate everyday.

I sighed but smiled seeing him so care free and kissed his cheek trying to wake up.

Is he a wrestler.

What a tight grip he has!!

I again tried getting out but failed.

"Stop it Baani and sleep." Kabeer spoke in hoarse voice

"Uh... It's morning Kabeer. Wake up" I whispered when he opened his eyes and first thing he did was to touch my forehead.

"We've to check your fever " He said looking tensed

"I am fine. Don't worry" I told

" No. We're going to a doctor now" He said as he stood up when I stopped him.

"Kabeer. Let's go home first. I'm really very hungry" I whined and he nodded.

After we changed into our clothes we drove towards home.

When we reached home we were welcomed by two people who looked at us questioningly.

"Dad, Maya mom? " I whispered and they looked at us and then at each other.

"Kabeer, Baani!! Where were you both" Dad asked

"Gym, office" Kabeer and I said simultaneously which again made dad raise his brow.

"Son, in gym wearing tuxedos? I don't think so! " dad smirked and I glared Kabeer.

Why did he lie!

"Let's go inside first" Maya mom said and we nodded.

"I.. I'll make coffee for everyone" I said and was going when Maya mom stopped me.

"Where's Sheena" She asked

"Um.. I gave her off for today morning" Kabeer spoke this time and I looked at him shocked.

I am hungry man!!!

He shrugged and I frowned.

"Well, then I guess we'll have breakfast from your hands" Dad said smiling and I looked at Kabeer for help.

I don't know C of cooking !!!!

"Uh.. We'll order from outside. She's not well..and she..don't know anything except boiling water" Kabeer spoke and I slapped my forehead lightly.

This wasn't help idiot!!!

"Baani. What happened kid." Maya mom asked

"Nothing" I replied

"Kabeer, what happened" Dad asked him

"She's having fever" He told

"What!! When? Did you call doctor" Dad asked

"And how did she get fever. Did you drench in rain last night Baani. Even your and Kabeer's cell phones were unreachable yesterday night. Where were you both. You just stated don't wish her!" Maya mom asked and he looked at me.

"Long story. But yes she drenched in rain and caught fever. Baani, brush your teeth, I'll make some healthy pancakes " Kabeer told and I looked at him shocked.

I knew that he knows how to make sandwiches but does he knows pan cakes too!

"Can I get some chocolate sauce too" I asked and everyone chuckled while Kabeer huffed.

What!! I was serious!!

I climbed the stairs and was going towards my room when Dad stopped me.

"What happened dad. You need something" I asked

"Your and Kabeer's room is this side Baani" He pointed towards Kabeer's room and I looked at him.

"Um.. Yeah. I.. I know. I was just taking something from this room" I lied and turned taking my brush and clothes and went to Kabeer's room.

I've seen this room many times but never used it.

I went to washroom and brushed my teeth taking a bath when Kabeer came.

His room feels home.

After getting ready I went down stairs just to smell the delicious aroma of pancakes.

I am more hungry now!!

We all sat in our chairs and Kabeer too came with pancakes.

"It smells delicious" I told

"It taste delicious too" He smirked as he served me pancakes and smirked drizzling chocolate sauce on it while I pulled out vanilla ice cream from freezer too and Kabeer glared me.

"Keep them away! You're having cold" he stated

"I'm fine now!" I said but before it he took away ice cream and went to fridge!

"Kabeer!!" I whined

"Baani! Kid he's right! Just not today!" Maya mom said and I frowned while Kabeer put another plate in front of me..which had more chocolate sauce on pancakes!

I looked at him and grinned!

"It'll work for now " I said and he chuckled while other two pair of eyes looked at us lovingly !

As I put first bite, I was shocked.

It tastes damn delicious.

"I didn't know you cook so yummy" I complimented and dad chuckled

"He cooks well" Dad told and I smiled.

"By the way, belated happy first anniversary kids." Dad and Maya mom wished.

"We were not allowed to wish you yesterday till he tells us.. And he never told us" Dad glared Kabeer and I suppressed my laughter.

"Thankyou dad and Maya mom" We replied

"Well, what brings you here today" Kabeer asked and Maya mom looked at us.

"Your grandma is coming" she said and I looked at Kabeer

"You've a grandma too" I asked excitedly while he glared me.

"I.. I mean I didn't know" I muttered

"Google about me one day nicely instead of searching Evans " He mocked and I huffed

"Wow. But she didn't come to the wedding" I asked dad

"She's in Rishikesh since two years and your wedding was..quite an event of hurry. You see, she's devoting her whole time to God. She pledged for living two years there only feeding kids and needy there. And now.. Since it's over.. She's coming back for some days after which she'll go back again." He told

"She's very religious" I smiled but Maya mom looked at me concerned

"What happened. Is there something to worry about" I asked

"She..she's a bit orthodox. I mean.. Not like she has any problem with girls working. But she..she wants a girl to be perfect in her home too. I mean.. Who's devoted to her husband.. Who knows cooking, who's religious" She told and I looked at them shocked.

Typical Grandmother in law!!!!!

"As in serials" I fretted and two pair of eyes glared me.

Shut up Baani.

You're talking about Kabeer's grandmother and Dad's mother!!!

"She doesn't need to do anything. She's not even well. I'll talk to grandma and moreover we live here and she'll live in mansion. Not a big deal" Kabeer spoke

"She wants you both to live in mansion till she lives there" Dad told and I don't know why but I wanted to cry right now.

I speak like anything.. Nothing like typical daughter in laws.

I don't wear sarees and suits everyday.

I come home late many a times and She would surely not like that.

I eat ice creams like.. Okay that's my first love and I can't live without them.

And on the top of all that...

I don't know how to cook even a sandwich with a good filling!!!!

Hell, I don't know how to chop vegetables.

"We'll be coming in noon" Kabeer said giving me another shock.

"Call doctor. She needs rest. Don't worry. Once she likes you, she'll shower all her love on you" Maya mom told and I nodded slightly.

You've frightened me to core and now I'm really thinking that I'm in a daily soap where I'm going to meet my arrogant bossy Grandmother in law!!

I'm gone!!!

"Don't worry. Home staff is there to cook. You don't have to." Kabeer told as Maya mom and dad left.

Oh yes!!

How did I forgot!!!!

"It will be easy right" I asked

"Honestly.. I can't tell right now. As Maya mom told, she's a bit orthodox. And you know what orthodox means right. She even wanted a typical housewife material for me. Who would cook for me and treat me as God" He told

Tujh mai rab dikhta hai, yaara mai kya karu!

(I see God in you, my beloved what should I do)

"Don't worry. And right now you need to see a doctor." He told and called a doctor.

After the checkup and giving me few really bad medicines he went away and I got a bowl of soup.

"Um.. She's coming in evening. Can you tell me how to.. Cook" I asked as I sipped the soup which was really very tasty!!

I got a husband of novels.

Handsome, very much!

Cherry on the cake is his blue eyes turning to greenish sometimes.

Takes care of me.
Fights for me.
Supports me.
And cooks for me.

Just one thing left... loves me!!

Which he.. Doesn't!!!

Which he won't.... Ever!

"Cooking can't be learnt in a day Baani. And you don't need to just for her sake." He told

"What if she tells me to cook" I asked

"We'll see afterwards" He told and took his mac book and sat on couch.

"We..umm have to share the same room in mansion!" he said and I looked at him

"We did that before too I guess! And duh! We shared it last night too! " I replied and it had a point!

"Um! Yeah!" he said

"Aren't you going office" I asked when he denied

"Of
f course I am but you're not and no arguments on this!" He stated and I nodded sighing.

I took my mac book working for sometime and then Kabeer too came in evening as we drove to mansion.

Danish's call came and Kabeer asked if he gathered any information but there wasn't any about the messages or the girl.

We sat in the living area when dad came with an old lady of some Eighty-eighty five years.

I looked at them and went there touching her feet.

"Always be happy. So she's my granddaughter in law" She asked and I nodded

"How was your journey grandma" I asked

"As always. Good. I told them that flights don't suit me. But this son of mine , don't listen to me" She complained and I smiled.

"You should've told me. I would've arranged a car journey for you from Rishikesh to Jaipur" Kabeer said coming forward and touched her feet while she hugged him.

"My Kabeer!! How are you my child" She asked hugging him

"I'm good. How are you." He asked

"Saw you. And now I'm all good" She replied

"Your name is Baani right? " She asked and I nodded

"Prepare tea for me. " She said and I looked at Kabeer who blinked his eyes.

"Tea is ready mom . Home staff is just bringing" Maya mom replied on my behalf saving me.

"Why home staff will bring? She will bring me tea" Grandma said

Kabeer was about to say something before which I spoke.

"Sure grandma. Just a minute, I'll be back" I said and went to kitchen.

Tea was already placed and I took tray in my hand walking towards living room and handed cup to everyone.

When I gave the cup of tea to Kabeer he looked at me concerned while I blinked my eyes smiling.

"So, how is your life going kids" She asked

"Great Grandma" Kabeer replied

"I'm sure my Kabeer is keeping you happy" She asked and I looked at him.

I wish I could complain you about him being damn boring!!

"Yeah he's" I replied with a smile

"It's evening already. And since I'm here seeing you first time. You'll cook tonight's dinner. I too want to see how perfect is my Kabeer's wife" She said and then retired to her room while I looked at Kabeer.

The thing about which I was scared the most has come.

I knew this will happen!

"Baani. I know.. You don't know how to cook. How will you manage child" Maya mom asked and I sighed.

"Tell grandma that she doesn't know how to cook. Simple! " Kabeer said and I glared him.

"That will be fun" Dad chuckled and I frowned

"You're laughing at my condition dad" I whined

"Baani. I know my mom very well. She's a coconut. Like this boy. Hard from outside but soft from inside" Dad said and I looked at Kabeer.

He's not coconut.

He's nuts!!!!

"Once you win her heart, she'll treat you like her favorite child" Dad added

"And winning her heart means good food.. Which I don't know how to make" I sighed

"I'll make it" Kabeer suddenly spoke and we all looked at him shocked.

"You don't need to go office back" Dad asked

"Well dad!! I am boss I guess" He smirked and we all looked at him a duh look!

Self obsessed !!

"I'll do that" Maya mom asked

"She very well knows the taste of your hand Maya mom..and moreover. Be outside keeping her away from us. Indulge her in talking" Kabeer mumbled and I nodded

"You'll really help me" I asked when he glared me and I shut my mouth.

And finally we were there in kitchen.

"What should I make" I asked and he narrowed his eyes.

"I am making, not you. So stop being a drama queen" He said

"Well for grandma I'm making and I'm also trying to help you" I reasoned and he raised his brows

"You'll help me? " He asked

"Off course I'll " I replied firmly

"And what you'll do? Boil water" He mocked and I glared him.

Well he's right!!

You don't know anything else!!!

"What will you make" I sadly asked and he looked at me.

"Grandma likes normal food. So I'll be making that only with.. Gulabbjamuns( indian dumplings) " He said and my eyes shined on the last name.

"You know how to make them" I asked

"I was born talented" He smirked

Take a spatula and hit his head right now!!

But what will you tell grandma!

Mission cancelled !!

"You're going to help me" He announced finally and I grinned as if I won some battle.

Mission Cooking dinner on the way!!!
