"It's a coffin. There is a name engraved on it."

"Chara"

A human in a blue and pink striped shirt and a red ghost in another striped shirt examine the empty coffin of Red. The alive human seems unaware of the other ghosts except for the red one. The ghost themselves however is trying their best to ignore the others.

"???? What is Red doing with that human?????" Turquoise closed to Blue and whispered.

"Why are there two humans???? What???? When????" Blue wasn't capable of answering when she is just as confused.

"??????? Who is the Chara?????????" Yellow tries to get a closer look at the two humans. The red ghost turns to him and scowls.

"Come on, we've gotta go." Red turns to the human who is alive. The human nods and the both of them leave the room, leaving the others confused as ever.

"Hey, why do they get to leave the room?!!!" Orange yells in dismay and annoyance. The red ghost turns around the last time and shoots him a "losers" look, then turning around to continue up the stairs with the human. "....Huh? What do you mean? There's no one there..." The others heard Red say before their voice fades in a distance.

There's a lot of reasons why Chara never appears in the story. One is that the theory was that they only exist with the power of Frisk's determination. This also has some clashing with the original story (in the story they didn't know Chara's name and called them Red because I forgotten about the fact that there are names on the coffins.
