I woke up to a loud scream. It wasn't Freya since she woke up the same time as I did. We looked around and there it was again. Another scream. But from a different person. I got alerted and got out my staff to fasten it behind my back. Freya wrapped her lasso around her wrist. Together we got out of the cave and into the forest. Not long after, we came across 2 bodies. Number 33 and 12. Freya got down and whispered a few words of prayer, and I followed. Well, that means less than 13 of us left. 

Before I knew what was happening, loud sounds of footsteps sounded and I turned around only nearly to be slashed across the face by a dagger. Fortunately, I dodged in time and looked up to see the guy that must be one of the last competitors. I got out my staff from my back and we battled. I saw Freya do the same with another girl 3 feet away.  I had my chance and stabbed the guy in the guts. Freya however looked furious and I could tell that her face was probably punched a couple of times. Since she didn't have something close to a dagger, she had to use her whip to strangle the girl to death. 11 of us left. Great.

We were about halfway through the forest when I saw a bonfire nearby. Judging by the ashes, I could tell the fire was put out not long ago. I saw footsteps leading to a nearby tree and as I looked up, which I was kinda grateful I did, arrows came flying down from above. Me and Freya hid behind a nearby rock, not far from the tree. The tree wasn't that tall. Freya got out her lasso and was able to bring the attacker down. He looked to be near our age. 

"Vernaldo?" said Freya looking surprised.

"Oh my god, Freya?" the attacker said looking surprised.

I looked between the."Some one explain." I said impatiently.

Before I knew what was happening, Vernaldo took Freya against him and crashed his lips to hers. I gagged. 

"We are mates," explained Freya, blushing.

Vernaldo apologized for nearly killing me and I waved it off. Since we were only allowed to have one ally, I decided to be the one to leave. Me and Freya hugged. 

"Thanks for everything," I said before taking my staff and started climbing another tall tree. I heard mutters of," I told you not to come," before I left.

 I continued on my "journey," observing more bonfires on the way. As I neared the end of the forest, it was so quiet. Too quiet. suddenly 3 attackers came out of nowhere. It was against the rules to have more than one ally. Two of them tried reaching for my arms. I did the only thing my tiring arms can't do. I ran. I found a huge rock and decided to hide behind it. 

"Where is that little b***," I heard one of them hiss. Definitely old enough to be my father. 

"The little coward," this time it was an older woman. The heck! My arms are tired, I wanted to complain. I got out my staff and decided to take on the 3 on my own. I manage to kill 1 before I got stabbed in the arm. I hissed in pain before using the other end of my staff to kill another. My last "victim" observed me. It was the older woman.

She snorted. "Can't believe Shira would give it all up for you." 

I gave a battle cry before slicing her body multiple times. She had no right to say her name. No right at all. I probably cut her body into pieces before I realized what I did. Now everyone watching the security camera knew who I was. Only about 8 of us were left. I felt certain that Freya and Vernaldo already killed some.

There were loud speakers around the arena that I observed when I came through. Sure enough, an announcement was made.

"Congratulations to the last 5 that remain standing. There is no need to make it to end of the arena. Only 5 are alive. Thank you number 35, 42, 27, 11, and 3. You may all exit the arena."

What the hell! Where the hell was my number. Maybe I heard it wrong. I'll just make it to the exit and tell them there's been a mistake. But before I could do anything, the floor just opened underneath me and I gave a scream before falling right through it.
