+Mystery Shack: afternoon on a Saturday+

The Pines Family came back home after having breakfast at the diner and shopping. Mostly buying Mabel her art supplies and a few other thing along the way. Mabel bought some more flowers for her twin's grave too.

Stan unlocked the door to the Shack with his family behind him carrying groceries. Once he opened the door and saw what was on the other side he dropped his share of the bags.

"Grunkle Stan?!" Mabel ask in surprise, but her Grunkle was frozen, so she looked over his shoulder.

She gasp when she saw Dominic looking back at her, in her Grunkles' house no less! "What are you doing here?!" She shouted at him.

Surprise, Surprise~

Dominic smiled at her, "Welcome back Pines Family. Bill and I thought we could come and check up on you guys."

Stan and Mabel could only stare at him at his ridiculous thinking. Ford and Mabel's parents came up to the porch noticing the visitor too. Jaw dropped that they'd come to them knowing Ford, Stan, or Mabel could take them on.

"Come on! Bill's cooking lunch for you guys." Dominic disappeared into the kitchen.

The Pines family cautiously went inside the Shack, leaving their groceries by the door. Ford casually opened the closet and pulled out some paranormal guns for them. They made their way to the kitchen and busted in holding their weapons up. Only to lower them when they saw Dominic at the table writing in a blue journal and Bill stirring something in a pot on the stove.

"You know it's rude to be pointing those at your guest right?" Bill says with a laugh, not turning around to look at them. "Why don't you help them put those away Alcor?"

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me by that name?" Dominic sighed closing his journal. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers together. The weapons the humans were holding disappeared out of the thin air. "You'll get your toys back once lunch is finished." He stated getting up from his seat. The brunet went up to Mabel's parents sticking his hand out to them.

"Um..." Mr. Pines didn't really know what to say.

Dominic showed Mabel's parents his kind smile, "Nice to meet you Sir and Madame, I'm a friend and classmate of your daughter Mabel Pines. My Name is Dominic D. Cipher." He shook the man's hand.

"James Pines. Mabel's dad." Mr. Pines told him.

"Maysly Pines. Mabel's mother." Mrs. Pines said to him.

The brunet demon gave a curt bow to the older Pines Twins. "Stanley, StanFord."

Both the twins gave him crossed arms gesture and a warning glare that Dominic didn't seem to mind.

Finally he turned to Mabel who had her hands clenched and pressed to her sides. "Hello Mabel." She heard him say. "Hi." Was the only response he got.

Dominic went over to Bill and helped carried the finished prepared food to the table and the dream demon carried the pot of soup. Bill snapped his fingers and the Pines Family found themselves in their own seat. Bill and Dominic being the only ones standing.

"Hope you like the food guys!" Bill says to them while the family could only stare at it.

Dominic rolled his eyes, "It's safe, trust me. I would of sacked Bill in the head if he did something to it."

"I'm wounded! My boyfriend doesn't trust me with such a task!" Bill feigned hurt at the teen's words.

Stan was he first to try the food and found it thankfully wasn't killing him inside or eating him. The rest of the family followed shortly, but cautiously eating the food. Bill and Dominic left the kitchen to eat and waited for them to finish in the living room.

After lunch, they all were in the living room with a awkward silence among them.

"What are you two doing here anyways?" Ford asked them with a glare.

Bill laughed, "We told you before Sixer! Just checking up on you meatsacks!" He told the old man. "Sheesh, 4 years have gotten a lot from you!"

Dominic rolled his eyes and went over to Mabel. "Mabel, can you hold out your hand for me please?" Kindly smiling at her.

"Why should I?" She asked him.

"You'll figure it out when you see it." The brunet told her and held out his closed hand.

Hesitantly Mabel gave Dominic her right hand and the teen placed something on the palm of her hand. She looked at the item once Dominic moved his hand back to his side. A necklace was placed on the palm of her hand. "A necklace?" Looking at the brunet confused.

It's a black chain necklace with a PineTree and Triangle charm hanging on.

"It belonged to Dipper." Dominic told her.

Bill smiled softly at the necklace, "I gave it to the kid for his birthday present." Remembering that day in his mind.

Memories of back then

Mabel clutched the piece of jewelry in her hand tightly and started crying. "Why are you guys torturing me? I miss my brother, my twin so much. Yet you guys always find a way to make me remember the bad memories of back then." She rubbed her sweater sleeve over her crying eyes. "I-"

It hurts to think of them

Dominic interrupted her by covering her mouth with his hand. "Mabel... We don't wanna hurt you with those memories. We just want you to discover someone close to you is near and is always watching. Just trust us." He smiled at her.

The teen licked Dominic's hand without hesitation.

Dominic pulled his hand back at the gross feeling. "Ew! Mabel, you know that's really unclean and weird." Telling her while wiping his hand on a handkerchief that Bill gave to him while laughing.

'Ew! Mabel, you know that's really unclean and weird.' Those words replayed in Mabel's head.

There again, why do you say those words again?

"I think it's time you two leave." Ford told the two demons.

Bill chuckled and snapped his fingers. "I put your weapons back in the closet for you Sixer." He looked at his boyfriend, "Let's head out Dominic, we still have lots of stuff to do today."

"Alright." Dominic complied and Bill held his hand. "I hope we get to talk more soon everyone."

"See ya later!" Bill waves to them and teleports himself and Dominic out of the house.

"Mabel..." Stan says.

Mabel looked at the floor. "I'm going to my room." She walked silently to her room and closed the door behind her.

They keep reminding her of him too much

+Mystery Shack: Mabel and Dipper's room in the attic+

Mabel's parents checked up on her after a hour later and brought some snacks for her.

She looked up at the sound of the door knocking.

"Mabel sweetie can we come in?"

"Yeah mom." Mabel allowed them.

James and Maysly came into the room and sat on either side of their daughter.

They talked for awhile, some moments Mabel crying or smiling. They finished the snacks and left Mabel to sleep.

Mabel laid on her bed tossing and turning. She sighed and laid flat on her bed looking at the ceiling.

'Why do I feel that something out of place?'
