It was morning, 6:30 to be exact. I was on the forest floor, just lying there 20 paces from the others because I ran after her. But she had used a sleep spell on me and left me there. Gillian woke me up. "Techna, what was it you wanted to tell me?"

"Umm.." I cant breath all of a sudden, I am left with a fast beating heart and shaking limbs. Trying to fan my face because all of the blood has rushed straight to it, making me flush warmer by the second. There is no danger. Breathe. I realised then that Gillian was talking.

"Well?" He asked expectantly.

"I-I, think we should stay as friends. I am complicated as you know, and if we ever decide to be any more than that I should tell you a few things." I tried to explain.

"Alright, I understand that you will need time. And when we get back from the mission I think we should talk." He responded leaving my mouth open in shock. That went better than I had anticipated, which has left me shocked and somewhat dumbfounded trying to work out what has just occurred.

"Ok, we leave midday right?" I asked.

"Yep, all together," He chuckled sarcastically, "just in case you were wondering."

"Is the boy alright?" I mumbled.

"Yes, his wound is still healing but he is alright. What about Octavia?"

"She cast a stun spell on me a few minutes after I went to get her." I explained.

"We should look out and make sure she doesn't follow us."

"There's no point she can teleport regardless. We should stick to plan b, which means I need to talk to Magnus as soon as possible." I reminded him, we made 5 plans.

Plan A- was if Alex survived and Octavia could be contained at the school.

Plan B- Alex is injured and Octavia is not contained. She would follow us and if I had to guess capture Magnus or whoever is in the room next to Alex.

Plan C- Is unimportant because this was if Alex was dead.

Plan d and e- Are the second parts of plan B.

So I informed Magnus of this, he knew what was about to happen before it did.

He then went to inform Lucas and Aurora went to speak to him after. "You better not be thinking of doing something stupid, Magnus." Aurora snapped at him.

"Why would that matter to you?" He asked turning away as if he didn't want to know or hear her reply.

"Because it's you, I-" Aurora's eyes well up with burning tears.

"I had no idea." He hugged her.

"You overheard the game of truth and dare?" She sniffled.

"All of it yes." He smirked, looking at me sitting by the base of an old oak tree.

"But what if it all goes badly?" Aurora whimpered.

"Then I can only promise to see you in a year, only if you promise to stay alive and wait for me. It is unlikely yes, but possible." Magnus confirmed.

"Look after yourself and if you end up there stay alive ok? Magnus you must survive." Aurora cried.

"Deal but only if you promise to train and wait for me. Do not blame a soul for this if it goes wrong. Do you promise?" Magnus demanded.

"I promise." Aurora weakly sobbed.

"It's time, midday." I confirm on the transmissions and we all huddled together, I knew that Octavia could have been within the radius of this but we knew what was coming what was going to happen.

Me and Gillian still went on our walk as usual, we talked about all sorts before a weird glowing book opened up it said 'danger, imminent.' We had all planned for this I took the front exit knowing what would happen Gillian went off to inform his mother.

I have a good relationship with books you know they always seem to appear when I need them. Gillian told me to go and speak to the card club which starts tomorrow at 15:00. I wasn't sure why but I understood more when we went together, but that's a story for a little later. I had asked Gillian how he knew that his spirit animal was a dragon. He shrugged and responded saying, "they seemed to appear everywhere, like Cleo's was a cat. And Lucas's was a wolf. Have you noticed any animals lately?".

"Not exactly," mainly because I was trying to pay attention to my surroundings I thought of saying but didn't, "the odd butterfly maybe a millipede or two."

"Interesting very interesting," he acted out grabbing a magnifying glass event though a monocle would have made more sense, "maybe a preCambrian era arachnid or invertebrate." He concluded.

"Congratulations, on solving your latest case mr Holmes, although a monocle is best to use when examining another's person. If you know what I mean." I responded with the least amount of sass that I could manage.

"Very humorous Watson." He smirked back.

"You read it?" I asked, referring to the book a study in scarlet which I had given to him for his birthday.

"Why wouldn't I have 'Watson' after all not all of us have illiterate minds."Gillian Replied. This was what he told me before he left to see his mother. Before it happened.

"By the way Watson there is a card club at 3 pm tomorrow which I think we should attend, after your book hunting with Scarlet."

"What makes you think that you would be Holmes?" I asked to which he smirked and replied, "because you said so. Half sarcastically but you did." He then left, hurriedly for his mother's office.

It all went wrong from there on..
