Matteo was on his way to find his girlfriend. He actually liked Sasha, compared to all of his other girlfriends... Which was a lot.

But when he rounded the corner he saw Sasha... Kissing another boy, a Ravenclaw in the year above named Jay.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Matteo stormed up to them.

"Its just a kiss." Sasha shrugged,"Besides, you aren't much compared to Jay."

"Much?" Matteo blinked.

"Sorry man, I didn't know she was your girl." Jay chuckled.

"It's fine, I'm not his girl anymore." Sasha smiled.

Matteo looked at Sasha, shaking his head before he walked off.

"Bye Theo." Sasha hummed,"Now... Where were we?"

Jay smirked and turned back to Sasha.

Matteo looked around, he didn't know what to do... Is this what the girls who he did this to feel like? It felt... Awful. He felt hurt, betrayed, he loved her. He really did.

Matteo cursed and walked to find his cousins. Phoenix was reading at the Ravenclaw table while Cedar sat talking to her.

"Do you know a Jay in Ravenclaw? Year above me?" Matteo sat next to them.

"Yeah, he's nice. What about him?" Phoenix glanced up at Matteo.

"I don't like him now."

"Oh, why's that?" Cedar asked.

Matteo sighed,"I... I got cheated on."

Phoenix looked around,"Okay? And?"

"And? I loved Sasha."

"Matteo, I don't see the issue here." Phoenix shrugged,"How many hearts have you broken? How many times have you cheated? Isn't this just... Karma?"

"But- It's not the same." Matteo shook his head.

"How so? Why's it so different when someone switches the roles?" Phoenix raised a brow.

"She does kinda have a point, Theo." Cedar sighed.

"Right, well- I- You're meant to be sympathetic towards me "

"Theo, sympathetic? I'm ecstatic. I've been waiting for this day for so long!" Phoenix smiled,"Finally, someone gave you a taste of your own medicine."

"Really, Nixie?" Matteo sighed.

"What?" She rolled her eyes.

"Look, I know I'm a dick. You don't need to remind me." Matteo looked at him.

"Well, I don't know what to tell you. With your reputation, nobody's going to pity you." Phoenix crossed her arms.

"Yeah, yeah." Matteo grabbed an apple.

"Y'know who's going to find this hilarious? Frank."

"Don't tell Frank." Matteo sighed.

"Come on, why not?"

"Because he won't shut up about it when he hears."

"Well, I think he should know. I mean, Ced probably left to tell him while we were talking." Phoenix hummed.

Matteo turned to his left, looking at Cedar who was already on her way to tell Frank.

"Whether you like it or not, Frank will know."

"Cedar!" Matteo cursed and ran after her.

Cedar tried to ignore him as she searched the hall for her older brother. There he was, sitting with his friends on a bench.

"Frank, guess what!' Cedar walked up to him.

"What?" Frank looked at her.

"Sasha cheated on Theo." Cedar pointed.

Frank gasped,"She did not!"

"She did too. Right, Theo?" Cedar turned.

"Shut up." Matteo caught up to Cedar.

"Oh my god, she did!" Frank held back a laugh.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"Come on, i know you. You need to talk somewhere that the little bird won't tease you." Frank stood up.

"Nixie is overjoyed about it all." Matteo shook his head.

"No wonder." Frank chuckled.

"I hate it."

"Come on, we can talk about it in private."

Matteo rolled his eyes and walked to a disused classroom.

"Right, talk to me." Frank shut the door.

"I was gonna talk to her about meeting my mum during the summer... I really liked Sasha, man. She was different."

"Sasha was a bitch though, you're lucky you found out sooner rather than later." Frank sighed.

"I don't think I can find another girl... I don't want to hurt people like that again." Matteo crossed his arms.

"Look, Theo, you've been stupid." Frank sat on a desk,"But you can change. I think you've go tit in you."

"No one will like me now. Not after what I've been like."

"You don't know that. I mean, from what I've seen, girls are still into you."

"I'm hot as shit, that's why." Matteo winked.

"See, you've still got your ego. You haven't lost all your personality." Frank shrugged,"I've been where you are."

"You have?... Frank, you're gay."

"Matteo, I had a girlfriend. Sure, I was mainly dating her because I was in denial over myself but she still cheated on me with you."

"I'm the better cousin, obviously." Matteo nudged him.

"I'm trying to be nice to you, asshole." Frsnk nudged him back.

"This is us being nice." Matteo shrugged.

"Fair enough." Frank sighed,"Well? Feeling better?"

"A little." Matteo nodded.

"See? I'm great at this."

"Eh, depends." Matteo got up.

"I am." Frank poinyed,"Come on, at least I'm better than Nixie."

"Yeah... I guess so." Matteo hummed.

"You ready to head back out?"

"What happens in the classroom stays in the classroom."

"Of course, I won't say a word." Frank raised his hands.

Matteo nodded and walked out the room. Frank followed, putting his hands in his pockets.

Matteo was at a party which was hosted for the older years. Every house was invited. Frank was stood by the food, glancing over at Matteo as two girls stood by him.

Although he was talking to them, he wasn't interested. He hadn't been interested in girls or guys since Sasha.

"Theo, c'mere." Frank beckoned him over.

Matteo moved away from the girls and walked over,"Hm?"

"I've got this friend, she wants to meet you." Frank told him.

"If it's a lady friend, you know my answer Frankie."

"She's not interested in anything romantic. She's just shy and wants to be friends." Frank shrugged.

Matteo bit his cheek and nodded.

"Her name is Raya." Frank hummed as a brunette walked over.

"Hi Raya." Matteo smiled softly.

"Hi." Raya waved slightly.

"Well, I'm off." Frank walked off.

"Eh- Already?" Matteo grabbed his arm.

"What? Can't talk to a girl anymore?" Frank winked.

Matteo looked at him before he let him go and turned to Raya,"What year are you in?"

"4th year, I'm a Ravenclaw.' Raya told him, fumbling with her hands.

"That's my cousin's house, Phoenix." Matteo nodded.

"Oh, I know her." Raya nodded,"Quite small, curly hair, doesn't talk with many people."

"Yeah... You don't need to be shy, I'm not scary." Matteo chuckled.

"You could be."

"I'm not really. I assure you."

"W-well, it's nice to finally meet you in person." Raya smiled softly.

"Do you drink?" He handed her a glass

"Not really, but thank you." Raya shook her head.

"Of course." Matteo pulled it away.

"I'm assuming you drink?"

"Yeah, I like it, only certain drinks."

"Do you have a favorite?" Raya asked.

"Gin. My mum likes it but she doesn't drink too much, only on special occasions." Matteo shrugged.

"I've heard it's nice." Raya nodded.

"It is, you should try it one time." Matteo hummed.

"Maybe." She sighed.

"Did you come here yourself?" Matteo raised a brow.

"Well, Frank invited me, but yes." Raya nodded.

"Do you dance?"

"Are you asking?" Raya raised a brow.

"Are you saying yes?"

"Well, if you're asking, then yes."

Matteo smiled softly and took her hand, leading her to the other dancers. Raya smiled at him as she began to twirl.

Later on after the party, Matteo ran to catch up with Frank,"Frankie."

"Yes, Theo." Frank turned.

"So Raya... She's nice."

"Obviously, I don't hang around with girls like you-know-who."

"No, I'm just- She's really nice." Matteo nodded slowly.

"Cute." Frank smirked.

"Shut up. Not like that... I don't know, actually."

"So... You might? Oh god, I'm turning into my mum." Frank sighed.

"Ha!" Matteo pointed,"No I- It's different. She's not like all the other girls."

"Sure." Frank teased.

"I want to know more about her, Frank." Matteo nodded.

"Aw, Matteo's in love!" Frank laughed.

"Franklin." Matteo warned.

"Matthew."

"I'm not in love. I don't know her that well, I just want to get to know her more... Set up a date or something."

"As I said, cute."

"I could say the same about your little crush in Gryffindor-"

"Leave Toby out of this." Frank pointed.

"So it's true." Matteo smirked.

"Shut up."

"Just get me information about her, please?"

"She's my friend, I can tell you all you need."

"Tell me everything." Matteo sighed.

"Now you sound a little obsessed."

"Not everything like that. Please, Frank?"

"Okay, fine. I'll tell you what I know."

"Send me an owl. I gotta head to class." Matteo pointed.

"Have fun." Frank chuckled.

Matteo waved and he walked off.
