Erica woke up, early as normal but, well, something was different. She was warm and her head felt fuzzy. Beside her slept her husband, Neville. He was holding her waist although that wasn't making her warm. What was going on? Well, she had one idea but it couldn't be that, she wasn't sick.

"Mummy! Daddy!" Rowan ran in and jumped on the bed.

"Hey, Rowan." Erica sat up.

Neville opened his eyes, quickly sitting up and yawning,"Hey RoRo."

"I'm hungry." He groaned and lay on them.

"Well, then let's go get you some breakfast." Erica ruffled his hair.

"Go and run down. We'll be there in a minute buddy." Neville yawned.

Rowan smiled and slid off the bed, waddling off.

"I was having the best dream." Neville groaned.

"Well, too bad. We have a four year old." Erica sighed as she got out of bed.

"I could cook at four." He smiled.

Erica leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"We need to teach him." Neville hummed,"How did you sleep?"

"I slept just fine." Erica hummed as she went to leave, she just needed to act normal.

"Hold on." Neville looked at her.

"Hm?"

"You look... Different."

"Differently in a... Good way?"

"Differently as in... Ill."

"Well that's weird, because I'm not ill." Erica crossed her arms.

"Your eyes are red."

"Nu-uh."

"They are. And your cheeks are rosy." Neville tilted his head.

"Nev, I'm fine. Let's just go make breakfast. "Erica shook her head.

"Take some pills." He pointed.

"I don't need to." She sighed.

"You sure?' Neville tilted his head.

"I'm sure."

Neville narrowed his eyes before he slowly nodded,"I'll be down in a minute."

Erica nodded as he headed downstairs and into the kitchen after Rowan.

"Mummy pancakes!" Rowan tried to reach the batter.

"You want pancakes?" Erica grabbed the jar of batter.

He nodded. Erica smiled and got out a pan, setting it n the oven.

Soon enough, Neville came down and kissed Erica's cheek as he walked past,"What are we having, Ro?"

"Pancakes!" He clapped.

"Very nice. Do you want any fruit?"

"Strawberries!"

"Do we have strawberries?" Neville turned to Erica.

"Mhm." Erica nodded slowly.

"Alright. Strawberries it is?" Neville ruffled his hair.

"Yay!" Rowan smiled.

"Need any help?" Neville looked at Erica as he sat Rowan down.

"I got it." She assured him.

"Are you sure?'

"Nev, I'm-" Erica grabbed ahold of the counter,"I'm fine."

Neville got up and held her,"You're not. You're ill flower."

"No, I've got work to do." Erica shook her head.

"Work can wait. Let me take over.' He nodded.

"No.." Erica whined.

"It can and it will."

Erica sighed and looked away.

"Come on. I'll deal with breakfast." He hummed.

"Fine.."

Neville held her waist and helped her up to their bed,"I'l make some tea and bring you pancakes."

Erica nodded as she leaned into him.

"Do your pillows need fluffed-"

"Nev, they're fine." Erica sighed.

"What about the TV? Would you like that on?"

"No, Nev. Just... If I have to stay here, I just want some thinking time."

"Okay.' Neville nodded,"I'll be up soon."

"Thanks." Erica nodded slowly.

Neville moved and kissed her forehead, "I love you."

"I love you too." Erica smiled.

Neville hummed before he walked back downstairs. Erica sat in the room, trying to plot how she was going to sneak out to work.

*********************************

"Alright Rowan, let's get mummy some pancakes." Neville put the pancakes on the plate.

"Yeah, I wanna help mummy!"

"Atta boy. Can you hold her juice very carefully?" He lifted the plate.

"Yes" Rowan held the cup tightly.

Neville let Rowan go upstairs first as they walked into the bedroom,"Erica?"

"Hm?" Erica rubbed her eyes, she was under the covers.

"Breakfast." He hummed.

"Thanks, Nev." She smiled at him.

"Anytime love." Neville smiled, "Give the juice to mummy."

Rowan handed Erica the cup and she ruffled his hair.

"Thanks, Roro."

"He brought it all the way up and didn't drop it." Neville nodded.

"He's a very good boy, isn't he?"

"Mhm!" Rowan nodded.

Erica patted his head,"Well, I'm going to try and... Rest."

"Of course. We'll be downstairs, okay?" Neville nodded.

"Okay."

Neville stroked her cheek before he left with Rowan. Erica smiled once he was gone and closed her eyes, going to apparate to the shop.

"Actually babe-" Neville walked back in.

And... She was gone.

Neville looked at where his wife was only a few seconds ago before he groaned, "Erica!"

*********************************

"Okay... Okay, bad idea." Erica sighed, having landed on a pile of boxes.

"Who goes there?!" George ran into the storage room, an umbrella pointing at the boxes.

"It's just me." Erica brushed herself off as she jumped down.

"Oh, hi Erica." George hummed,"Wait- Why are you here?"

"To work."

"You're ill." He pointed.

"I am not." She pointed back.

"Neville sent me an owl." George hummed.

"I'm not ill."

"So he's lying?"

"Mhm, I'm just fine."

"Erica." George sighed.

"What?" Erica crossed her arms.

"You're my little sister. I know when you're not well."

"I'll be fine."

"Nu-uh. I'm calling Neville." He pointed.

"No, don't call Neville."

"What was that? Call Neville?" George smirked.

"George, I swear-"

George winked before he ran off to find his phone. Erica sighed and slumped against the wall. After George had called Neville, he had made Erica a cup of tea and handed it to her.

'Thanks.." Erica sighed.

"Do you think it's the flu? Little Fred had something, you might've gotten it from him." George sighed.

"I've already told you that I'm fine."

"If you say so." George held his hands up.

Erica sighed and looked away.

"I know you feel okay Er, but if you're not well I don't want you working."

"It's fine, I get it."

Soon enough, Neville walked to the back of the store, Rowan on his hip. Erica looked down, away from him.

"Hi hun." Neville sighed.

'Hi babe." Erica mumbled.

"You went woosh!" Rowan clapped his hands.

"I know, baby." She smiled softly.

"Come on, Sunflower." Neville held out his hand.

Erica sighed and took his hand, still not wanting to make eye contact with him.

"Bye George." Neville waved and apparated to their house again.

Erica leaned against Neville's shoulder as they arrived,"I'm sorry.."

"For what?" He hummed and kissed her head.

"Going out."'

"I just want you to get better hun." He nodded.

"I know."

"So will you stay in bed and let me help you?" Neville moved the hair from her face.

"Mhm.."

"Okay, let's get you comfy again, yeah?"

"Yeah.." Erica nodded slowly.

Neville helped Erica back into bed and got her comfy,"Are your pillows okay?"

"Nev."

"Right. Right." Neville held his arms up.

"Can I have a hug?"

"Can you? Of course you can." Neville smiled and hugged her.

Erica smiled as she hugged back,"Night night."

"Night night, babe." He kissed her softly before he pulled away,"Relax."

"Okay." Erica sighed.

Neville hummed, Rowan waving as the two of them left again. Erica nodded slowly, closing her eyes.

Parker was in the kitchen of the cottage, baking some treats.

"Good morning, darling." Blaise yawned as he wandering in.

"More like afternoon with you now." Parker pointed.

"It's the weekend, I can sleep in." He shook his head, leaning over and kissing Parker's cheek.

"Your daughter is just as bad as you." Parker nodded over to Estelle who had fallen asleep on the couch watching a movie.

"Like father, like daughter." Blaise hummed.

"Too much like her father." Parker hummed as she mixed the bowl.

"Well, what are you making?" Blaise rested his chin on her shoulder.

"Just some Halloween treats." Parker nodded,"And no, you can't try."

"But Parker, it looks so tasty." Blaise whined.

Parker copied his whine and gave him a pout before she gave him a spoon.

"Thanks, Parker!" Blaise smiled.

"No more than that." Parker warned.

Blaise chuckled as he licked the spoon. Parker put everything in its cases before she bent down and put it in the oven. Once she came back up, she held onto the counter and let out a sigh.

"Parker? Are you okay?" Blaise raised a brow.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm just... Hot. From the oven." She nodded.

Blaise furrowed his brow, setting the spoon in the sink.

Parker hummed and turned to him,"Can you wake Estelle? I don't want her sleeping too much."

"Sure." Blaise nodded hesitantly before walking into the other room, gently shaking Estelle.

"No." Estelle groaned.

"Stella, you need to wake up." He whispered in her ear.

"I'm dreaming."

"Well, mummy is making treats." Blaise commented,"Maybe if you're good.."

"Treats?' Estelle opened her eyes.

"Treats." Blaise nodded.

Estelle sat up,"What treats?"

"Halloween ones." He poked her.

"And you never told me?!" Estelle gasped.

"You were sleeping." Blaise reminded her,"You didn't want woken."

"But mummy is making treats!" Estelle smiled

"I know!" Blaise scooped her up.

"Mum!" Estelle groaned,"Treats!"

"They've just went in the oven, star." Parker sighed.

Blaise walked into the kitchen, holding Estelle by his hip.

"Hi." Parker smiled as he held her head.

"Parker, are you sure you're alright?" Blaise asked her.

"Of course." Parker smiled.

Blaise sighed and sat Estelle on the counter as he approached Parker.

"Yes?' Parker tilted her head.

Blaise sighed and gently held his hand against her forehead. She was burning hot, more than usual when she cooked.

"Merlin! Parker, you're burning up." Blaise shook his head.

"I'm just warm because of all the baking." Parker assured him before holding up a cookie,"Gingerbread vampire?"

"Parker, you don't get this hot when you bake." Blaise crossed his arms,"Are you sick?"

"Sick?" Parker shook her head,"I don't get sick."

"Everyone gets sick, darling." Blaise sighed.

"I'm so cool that I don't." Parker walked past him and handed Estelle a gingerbread vampire.

Estelle excitedly began eating her treat but Blaise grabbed Parker's hand. Parker looked back at he husband, tilting her head.

"Come on, darling. You need to go rest." Blaise insisted.

"I've got stuff to do Blaise." Parker sighed.

"Parker, it can wait. You come first."

"I gotta send stuff to Erica-"

"I'll do it."

"Seriously? This is Erica."

"Erica won't mind if she knows you aren't feeling well."

"Shh. I can do it." She assured him.

"Parker."

"Blaise."

"Look, please, let me take care of you." Blaise caressed her cheek.

Parker bit her cheek and hummed.

"Let's go up to bed, love."

Parker groaned and looked at the oven,"But-"

"No. Buts."

"But Blaise-"

"No."

Parker groaned and looked back at him,"Fine, but I'm okay."

"Whatever you say, princess." Blaise kissed her cheek,"Now bed."

Parker mumbled and walked upstairs.

"Thank you." Blaise hummed before following her.

Parker went into their room and sat on the bed,"... Now what?"

"You lie down, get comfy.." Blaise walked over to her,"Rest."

"I feel fine, Blaise." Parker sighed.

"Look, you stay here and me and Estelle are going to look after you." Blaise pointed.

"Estelle is five, what can she do?" Parker laughed.

"She can be my little helper." Blaise told her.

"If you say so.' Parker sighed and leaned back.

"I do say so." Blaise smiled at her.

"So... How long so I need to do this?"

"Until you aren't sick anymore."

"I'm not sick-"

"You are." Blaise laid beside her.

"Then you can't lay beside me." Parker gasped.

"Why not?"

"Then you'll get sick." She stuck out her tongue.

"Better me than you." Blaise kissed her cheek and sat up,"Should I make you something? Soup?"

"No, no." Parker shook her head.

"Are you sure? My soup is really good, I have my mother's recipe."

"It is good, but I don't want any." She sighed.

"Well, I'll get you some water then, just in case." Blaise got up and stood at the door,"Don't go anywhere."

"Not going anywhere." Parker held up her hands.

"Good." Blaise walked out and to the kitchen

Parker sat up and looked around, thinking what to do.

"Oh, Stella~" Blaise grabbed a glass.

"Hm?" Estelle was eating the cookie.

"We're going to look after mummy today." He told her, filling the glass with water.

"Did she eat too much?"

"No, but she's sick."

"I not want to get sick!" Estelle gasped.

"You won't." Blaise assured her.

"I could."

"Don't you want to help mummy and be a little nurse?"

"I could... But will I?" Estelle hummed.

"Guess I'm on my own." Blaise sighed.

"Fine, fine! I'll help." Estelle whined.

"You don't need to Stella, it would just be nice." Blaise patted her head.

"Do I get anything out of it?"

"Uh... Cookies when mummy is better?"

Estelle bit her lip before she nodded.

"You're helping?" Blaise asked.

"I help."

"Good, you run ahead." Blaise began walking.

Estelle nodded and ran ahead of her dad. Blaise chuckled before following her.

"Mummy!" Estelle ran into the room.

Blaise walked in after her, glass in hand.

"Hi baby." Parker smiled.

"I managed to convince her to help." Blaise chuckled.

"I get cookies if I help." Estelle nodded.

"Well you gotta help a lot." Parker hummed.

"And be very good." Blaise added.

"I am." Estelle crossed her arms.

"I know." He chuckled, sitting Parker's water beside her.

"Thanks Blaise." Parker hummed.

"Anytime princess."

Parker smiled as an alarm went off,"Oh- That's the oven."

"Sh- crap. I'll get that." Blaise hurried out.

"Estelle, can you keep a secret?" Parker whispered.

Estelle gasped,"Yes!"

"Mummy's gonna play hide and seek but you can't tell daddy where I am, okay?"

"Okay!" Stelle covered her eyes.

"Good girl." Parker kissed her head as she apparated away.

"Fanks mummy!"

"Hey, so I can- Estelle." Blaise stopped as he walked into the room.

Estelle uncovered her eyes,"Mummy and I are playing hide-and-seek."

"And... And where is mummy?"

"Secret."

"Oh my- Parker!" Blaise groaned.

Estelle shrugged as she laid back.

*********************************

Parker held her head as she appeared in the Longbottom house.

"Aunty Parker!" Rowan ran up to her.

"Hi Rowan." Parker smiled and lifted him up.

Rowan hugged her as he smiled.

"Where's mummy?" Parker ruffled his hair.

"Mummy's in bed." He told her.

"Is she okay?' Parker raised a brow.

"She's not feeling good."

"Oh hun. What about daddy?"

"Daddy is in the kitchen." Rowan pointed.

"Let's go see daddy." Parker patted his back and walked through.

Neville was stood beside the counter, reading a letter

"Hey Nev." Parker waved.

"Ah, Parker." Neville looked over at her,"Aren't you supposed to be in bed?"

"What?' Parker blinked.

"Blaise wrote me." Neville sighed, sitting down the paper.

"He... Is making things up."

"Is he now?"

"Mhm." Parker hummed,"Is Erica poorly?"

"Mhm, tried going into work."

"Can I go see her?"

"No, she's resting." Rowan pointed.

"Rowan." Parker sighed.

"Shh, mama needs to get better."

"Of course, but Auntie Parker has to see her."

"Daddy?"

"Yes Ro?" Neville turned to her.

"Can she?'

Neville hesitated before he nodded slowly.

"Thanks Nev!" Parker handed Rowan to him before she ran to Erica's roon.

Erica was sat in bed, arms crossed.

"Don't be such a Debbie downer." Parker smirked from the door.

"Parker!" Erica smiled,"I'm a prisoner."

"Tell me about it." Parker flopped onto the bed.

"I wanna work."

"So do I." Parker hummed,"I'm not well either."

"Mm... Hug?"

"Hug." Parker hugged her best friend, even though they were getting older they loved their moments.

Erica snuggled into her,"I don't like this.."

"Being poorly?" Parker stroked Erica's hair.

"Mhm..' Erica nodded slowly.

"Oh Er. It'll get better." Parker hummed,"I made Halloween food back home. I'll get Blaise to bring you some."

Erica smiled softly, not wanting to let go of Parker

"Afternoon Nev." Blaise hummed.

"You here for Parker?" Neville asked.

"If its not a hassle." Blaise sighed,"I brought sweets.:

"I'm sure Rowan will enjoy those." Neville opened the door wider to let him in.

"Theres millions mate, take some for yourself." Blaise hummed and walked in.

"Parker is a great baker." Neville nodded,"Shes upstairs with Erica."

Blaise nodded and went upstairs, slowly opening the door to see the two girls asleep. Neville walked in after him and smiled.

"What are they like?"

"The same old girls as always."

"They haven't changed."

"I hope they never do."
