Parker held the parents evening slip in her hand, standing with her parents and Draco as they waited to be called up. It was then that another Slytherin that Parker didn't recognize walked out, it was their turn next.

"It's me next." Parker looked at her parents.

"Yes, and it better be good news I hear." Lucius looked back down at her.

"Of course it will be." Parker nodded.

"I'm sure it will be, dear." Narcissa smiled at her.

Parker looked at her mother and smiled.

"Parker Malfoy." McGonagall called in.

"Let's just get this over with." Lucius muttered as they walked in

They all walked into McGonagall's office, sitting down in front of her.

"It's good to see all of you, this evening." McGonagall nodded to them.

"Yes, yes. I was quite busy." Lucius sighed.

"I can tell." McGonagall coughed,"Well, how do you think you've done, Parker?"

"I think... Okay?" Parker looked at McGonagall,"I hope."

McGonagall chuckled,"Parker, you're one of the brightest students in your year."

"I am?" Parker smiled.

"Well, that's great news." Narcissa gave a small smile.

"From what I've heard from all the other teachers, she's doing well in each subject." McGonagall went on,"She excells in potions and defence against the dark arts."

"As she should be." Lucius nodded slowly.

"There are few students her age that rival her determination and interest in learning."

"I trust teachers know Parker's strengths, how well she will be doing for the future. I know option choices are next year." Lucius mentioned

"Well, I feel as though with her skill, Parker could feasibly succeed in almost any career." McGonagall nodded.

"Well we're hoping for a position in the Minstry, hm?" Lucius looked down at Parker.

"Yeah." Parker nodded.

"I believe she could be a skilled auror." McGonagall stated.

"No, no. We're hoping for a higher position."

"I understand where you're coming from but I don't think she'd be able to use all her skills to the best of her ability in the jobs you want her in." McGonagall shrugged her shoulders slightly.

"Well I'm sorry, but I live with my daughter. You only see her at school, I know her best." Lucius pointed.

McGonagall looked Lucius up and down,"Oh, of course, Mr Malfoy. It's not like I live in the same building as her for most of the year."

"Do I need to have a chat with Dumbledore?" Lucius cocked his head.

"Chat to whoever you want to. Whatever you do outside of my office is no concern to me."

"You were saying, Professor?" Narcissa tried to move the conversation along.

"Well, I don't think I could praise your daughter enough." McGonagall shook her head, "I've noticed her not only taking in the information, but helping other students who maybe struggle."

"Well that's great." Narcissa nodded.

"She shows diligence and compassion in and outside of the classroom."

"When's it my turn?" Draco piped in.

"When I'm finished speaking about Parker."

"When's that going to be?"

"Oh I'm not sure." McGonagall hummed.

Draco crossed his arms and sat back.

"Well, is there anything else?" Lucius asked.

"Aside from how she is one of my favourite students, I wouldn't say so."

Parker smiled,"Thank you, Professor."

As the four of them left the office, all they heard about their children was wonderful. Although McGonagall did mention how Draco would benefit from being a bit nicer to others.

"Can I go say hi to my friend?" Parker smiled, seeing Erica in the corner.

"I don't see why not." Narcissa nodded,"Just be quick."

Parker pulled away from her mother and ran up to Erica.

"Oh- Hi Parker." Erica smiled at her.

"Hi Erica." Parker hummed.

"How'd you manage to get away from Lucius to see me?" Erica asked.

"Mum told me I could come so I took that chance and ran." Parker nodded.

"Did it go well?"

"I'm a great student." Parker spoke proudly.

"That's great!" Erica smiled, not expecting the same answer.

"McGonagall seems to be in a good mood."

"Let's hope it stays that way."

Parker nodded, hugging Erica,"I'll see you soon."

"See you soon, Parker." Erica hugged back.

Parker waved, joining her parents as they walked off. Erica sighed, trying to prepare herself. She didn't want to disappoint her parents.

"Come on over, Erica." Molly hummed.

"I'm coming." Erica walked close to her mother.

"You ready?"

"Mhm."

Molly opened the door, her, Arthur and Erica walked in.

"Weasleys." McGonagall smiled.

"Hi professor." Erica smiled back.

"It's nice to see you again, Erica." McGonagall sat down in her chair.

"It's nice to see you too."

"Molly, Arthur. How are we this evening?" McGonagall turned to them.

"Oh, we're doing alright. What about yourself?" Molly answered.

"You know... Same school, same thing." McGonagall sighed.

"I'm sure you've got your hands full here." Arthur shook his head.

"Oh yes, plenty." McGonagall chuckled,"I do try."

"And you do a wonderful job." Molly nodded.

"Thank you, Mrs Weasley. Now, let's get onto Erica shall we?"

"Yes, we should."

"Erica is a very bright student, I believe that with the right mindset she can do whatever she puts her mind too." McGonagall nodded.

Erica looked up at McGonagall, it wasn't an answer she expected.

"She excells in Care for Magical Creatures but especially Herbology. I would say it's a personal favourite of Erica's."

"It is." Erica nodded happily.

"However, there are some classes where she isn't too great at." McGonagall sighed.

"All the rest of them." Erica mumbled.

McGonagall looked at Erica,"She tends to be very distracted when in other classes. Whether it be she's talking or just not paying attention. I believe she may just need some extra help in some of those classes."

"Well that's alright, you can't be good at everything." Arthur shrugged,"Everyone needs a bit of help now and again."

McGonagall sighed,"I feel like there is something more behind her struggles, although I'm not entirely sure."

"Are you sure?" Molly asked.

"I can only see what is in front of me, Mrs Weasley."

Molly looked from McGonagall to her daughter. Erica looked up at her parents, she didn't know what to tell them

"Is there anything you'd like for us to do to help you?" McGonagall turned to Erica,"Because you know that I'm willing to help my students when needed."

"I do want help." Erica nodded slowly,"But I don't know what I need."

"Is there a certain subject that you struggle in the most?"

"Is there a certain subject that you struggle in the most?"

"Anything that involves me trying to focus or write for a long time."

"Well, I can see what I can do, hm?" McGonagall gave her a reassuring smile.

"Mhm." Erica smiled back.

"Any idea on your choices for next year?" McGonagall asked.

"Definitely Care of Magical Creatures."

"Well I'll let you in on a little secret. Hagrid will be teaching that next year." She hummed.

"Oh, yes!" Erica smiled.

"But that stays between us." McGonagall chuckled.

"My lips are sealed." She hummed.

McGonagall turned to her parents,"Is there anything you'd like to ask?"

"I think we're all good." Arthur nodded.

"Well Erica, I'll see what I can do to help your struggles, alright? Don't worry about it."

"I wont, Professor." Erica assured her.

"I'll send you both an owl discussing what I'll put for Erica." McGonagall nodded.

"Thank you, Professor." Molly smiled.

"Now, if that's all I must get to seeing other students." McGonagall stood up.

"Thank you for your time." Arthur nodded as the three walked out.

"See? Thar wasn't so bad." Molly looked at Erica.

"Yeah." Erica leaned against her.

"I told you, you have nothing to worry about."

"You're not mad?" Erica looked up t them.

"Of course not. We just... We want what's best for you." Arthur hummed.

"I know you do."

"Now how about I make us some cottage pie?" Molly smiled.

"That sounds nice." Erica nodded with a small smile.
