Chapter 92:

In the time of the morning, Avni wakes up because of the sunshine she rubs her eyes and opens them but again closed them because of the light. Avni opens her eyes and frowns then she realized that she is in Mehta house. Avni sits and turns her face to the other side of the bed and finds it empty. Avni missed Neil then she thought about the last night but she did not remember when she cuts the call then she understood that she slept while talking. Avni squeezed her eyes and keeps her hand on them.

Avni: tch. How can you sleep, Avni?

Avni starts finding her phone on the bed and removed the duvet.

Avni: where does it go?

She saw her phone on the floor and picks it up. Avni saw Neil’s message and feels guilty. She keeps her hand on her lap and thinks. Avni thought to send the message but as she starts typing she heard the knock on the door. Avni keeps the phone on the bed and goes to open the door. She saw Sonia and smiled.

Sonia: good morning.

Avni: good morning. Come.

Sonia comes inside.

Sonia: actually, I came to ask will you join me in shopping. Today, Arav is coming so I want to buy a gift for him and also some groceries sooo…

Avni smiled.

Avni: of course, I will join you and since when did you start behaving so formally? Hmm

Sonia smiled.

Avni: we will go.

They smiled.

Sonia: ok. Oh, by the way, breakfast is ready, come fast.

Avni: give me five minutes.

Sonia goes and Avni forgot about the message and goes to get fresh.

On the other side, Neil came after getting fresh and was wiping his hair with the towel. His eyes fall on the cell phone which was on the side table. Neil goes and saw Avni did not reply to his message. Neil sighs.

Neil: seems like madam is really enjoying the special treatment by her family.

Neil smiled.

Avni went shopping and Neil gets busy with his work.

In the evening, Arav came into the home while running and looked around. Arnav came after him. Arav directly runs to Avni who sat on her knees and Arav hugged her.

All smiled to see them.

Arav: I missed you so much.

Avni: I missed you too.

Arav breaks the hug and Avni cups his face and kissed his cheek.

Arav: but I missed you more.

Avni smiled.

Avni: ok, now meet all and get fresh after that we will chat.

Arav: and play also.

Avni: done.

Avni raised her hand and they did HiFi.

Avni spend the day with them and in the nighttime also Avni was busy with her siblings and Ashish. The whole family was enjoying themselves together and Avni did not realise the time and her phone was ringing in her room. Neil gets disappointed he cuts the call and sighed.

Neil: contacting me is far away you did not even reply to my message. You forgot me after going there.

Neil goes to the balcony and looked at the sky. Avni felt something in her heart. She searched for her phone.

Avni in mind: my phone.

Avni saw the time on the clock.

Avni: oh no, Neil must have called me.

Avni was about to get up.

Aman: Di, where are you going?

Avni: to get my phone. It is...

Aman interrupts.

Aman: what will you do now on your phone. Leave it.

Sonia: Aman, understand she is missing her husband she must have given him time.

Avni feels awkward and keeps the hair strand behind her ear.

Sonia and Kareena teased her. Avni feels embarrassed.

Aman: Di, let Jiju have some rest. Give him some space he also needs rest from you.

In the hospital, Neil was passing by the corridor, a lady doctor saw him going and called him from the back. Neil turns to her and she came to him.

Lady doctor: Sorry to call you from behind.

Neil: it's ok, say Dr Rashmi. Say, what you want to say.

Dr Rashmi: you asked for Dr Prachi.

Neil frowns and thinks.

Dr Rashmi: that gynaecologist. For your wife's treatment.

Neil: oh yes, yes.

Dr Rashmi: She came back from her maternity leave. she has resumed her work.

Neil: oh ok. Give me her details and number I will talk to her.

Dr Rashmi: sure.

Neil: thank you.

They smiled. Dr Rashmi thinks and hesitates to talk.

Dr Rashmi: ab aa.

Neil: what happened?

Dr Rashmi: I don't know, how to say? You will believe me or not.

Neil frowns.

Dr Rashmi: some days back I went to XYZ hospital they called me for delivery.

Neil: ok.

Dr Rashmi: there I saw your sister Kareena and aunt.

Neil frowns.

She nods. Dr Rashmi told him everything.

Dr Rashmi: I know, I don't have any right to interfere in anyone's personal life but you also know that these types of medicines are not good they can cause other diseases.

Neil nods.

Neil: thank you, I will talk to her.

She nods. They talked and she goes. Neil thinks.

Someone was passing by the corridor in the hospital and it was Avni she came to meet Neil because she was missing him. Avni was going and suddenly she heard the cry of a baby and stopped she looked around and saw the cradles through the glass wall. Avni goes there and she saw the newborn babies in the cradle. One baby was crying, Avni forwards her hand to calm the baby then she realized that a glass wall is there. Avni looked at the wall and touched it. Avni looked at the baby through the glass and her eyes gets moist. She touched the glass and gulps her pain. A nurse picked that baby in her arms and Avni was looking at them. She craved to carry that baby in her arm. Avni touched her belly and thinks, her eyes were teary. Avni saw the babies and she saw a baby who was rubbing his nose Avni smiled to see him. Avni gets emotional someone keeps a hand on her shoulder and Avni turns her face she saw Neil is standing there. Avni turns her face and wipes her tears and sighs, Neil was looking at her, Avni looked at him and again her eyes get moist. Neil looked at the babies and Avni also turns her face to see them then they looked at each other and saw the same pain in the eyes of each other from what they both were going through.

Avni was sitting on the couch in Neil’s cabin and Neil came to her by carrying a glass of water and sits beside her. Neil passed the glass to Avni. Avni took the glass and sipped the water. She looked down and clenched the glass. Neil looked at her.
