Chapter 149:

Time flew and two months passed like this, Neil and the Khanna family took care of Avni. During these two months, Avni was also careful and she goes to the office and worked by sitting there comfortably on the couch. She didn’t drive the car during this period because she was prohibited by the doctor and Neil also asked her to do that even though she, herself wanted to do the same and now Avni was the seventh month pregnant.

One day, Avni and Neil were present in the cabin of the doctor. The doctor was doing a sonography of Avni. Neil was also standing there. Avneil saw the child and they got emotional to see their baby who was moving in the womb. They smiled with teary eyes. The doctor looked at them and smiled to see them. Avneil looked at each other and smiled.

Avneil was sitting in the doctor's cabin.

Doctor: now, the seventh month has started and now you need to be extra careful. The baby will grow and your ovary is weak so we have to be extra careful.

Avneil got worried.        

Neil: baby is fine, right? Nothing is there to worry?

Doctor: yes, the baby is fine, you, yourself saw how it is enjoying in the womb.

Avneil smiled. The doctor also smiled.

Doctor: but.

Avneil’s smile faded.

Doctor: I think, normal delivery will not be possible.

Avneil were shocked.

Doctor: maybe. Maybe. Don’t panic, I am just telling you the facts. It can happen.

Avni: I am not afraid of any type of surgery, I just want my baby to be safe. If there will be the need of doing a C-section then I am ready for it. Just save my baby.

The doctor smiled but Neil thinks. He wants Avni and the baby both to be safe.

Doctor: that’s the spirit.

Avni smiled, she looked at Neil and kept her hand on his hand. Neil came out of his thoughts and he looked at her. Avni assured him that everything will be fine. Neil smiled and nodded.

Later, Avni was laying in the fowler’s position. Neil entered the room and he was disturbed because of what the doctor said so Neil didn’t look at Avni and was going to the couch.

Avni: Neil.

Neil stopped and he looked at Avni. Avni spreads her arms and signed him to come. Neil looked down and he came to her. Neil sat but he was looking down. Avni cupped Neil's face.

Avni: what happened to my second baby, hmm?

Neil shook his head.

Avni: you are worried about C-section. Right?

Neil nods by looking down. Avni smiled. Neil looked at her and he broke down. Neil hugged Avni and cried. Neil gulped and he cried. Avni was caressing his hair.

Avni: hey, it's ok. It's ok. It's ok.

Neil kissed Avni's hair. Avni wanted to break the hug but Neil hugs her tightly. Avni looked at Neil and she again hugged Neil. Avni caressed Neil's hair who was crying. After some time, Avni broke the hug and Neil was looking down. Avni cupped Neil's face. Neil was looking down. Avni wipes Neil's tears.

Avni: it's ok, Neil. It is not a big deal.

Neil sobs.

Avni: aww, my baby is sobbing.

Avni wipes Neil's tears and smiles.

Avni: you are a doctor, Neil and you are afraid of C-sections.

Neil looked at Avni and his nose was red.

Neil: so, doctors don't have hearts, they cannot get worried.

Avni smiled.

Avni: point.

Neil looked away.

Avni: Neil, what thing is important for us? Our baby or our fear?

Neil was looking at her. Avni signed him say.

Avni: baby? Right?

Neil nods.

Neil: you both.

Avni: right then if we get worried from C-section and prefer normal delivery what if it creates complications then what will we do?

Neil thinks.

Avni: if we think like this then C-section is a better option, right? Isn't it?

Neil nods by looking down.

Avni: then what is there to worry about?

Neil thinks. He wiped his tears.

Neil: you are right, Avni, I am unnecessarily taking stress.

Avni pulled his cheeks.

Avni: yes, my Gollu.

Neil made a stern face and rubbed his cheek. Avni chuckled then they laughed. Avni kissed Neil's cheek. Neil smiled.

Avni: I love you, my Tillu.

Neil smiled.

Neil: I love you, too, my Pillu's mother.

They smiled. Avni thinks.

Avni: Pillu? Means it's a boy?

Neil looked at her. He opened his mouth as he got caught.

Avni: tell me honestly. I know you know that it is a boy or a girl.

Neil thinks.

Neil: ab.

Neil was stuck.

Neil: Avni, I just said that in a fun, don't take it seriously.

Avni made a sad face. Neil felt bad to see her.

Neil: Avni, honestly, I know that it is a girl or a boy but I can't tell you.

Avni asked cutely: Why?

Neil: because it is against law.

Avni: but I love my baby, I am not like those people who are worst than animals who kill their child because it is a girl.

Neil cups Avni's face.

Neil: I know, you are not like those people but still the law is the law.

Avni smiled.

Avni: relax Neil, I was just teasing you.

Neil was surprised then they smiled.

Avni: off course, I am curious to know whether it is a baby girl or boy but I also respect the law. I was just teasing you.

Neil smiled.

Avni: what is the difference whether it is a girl or a boy the main thing is it should be healthy and fine.

Neil nods while smiling.

Avni: the gender doesn't matter, the health of the child matters. It should be well physically and mentally. I am not saying that the parents should not take care of mentally or physically abnormal children or left them outside the orphanage or in the garbage. They are also human, they also have the right to live. I just pray like other parents that my baby will be fine.

Neil smiled and he cupped Avni's face then he kissed Avni's forehead.

Neil: that's why I love you.

Avni smiled.

Avni: I love you more.

They smiled.

It was the time of the night, Avni was sleeping and Neil was laying in a fowler’s position beside her.

Neil in mind: C-section?

Neil thinks. Neil looked at Avni and he thinks.

Neil in mind: Look at Avni, Neil, she is not afraid and is sleeping peacefully and you are a doctor, still you are afraid.

Neil thinks.

Neil in mind: I am a doctor that doesn’t mean that I cannot get afraid or get worried for my loved ones.

Neil moved his face. He thinks.

Neil in mind: don’t worry, Neil, you are a doctor and you know it is normal nowadays. Just be positive, everything will be alright.

Neil looked at Avni and smiled. He leans toward her and kissed his forehead.

Neil: my tigress.

Neil smiled.

The next, the sun was shining in the sky and Avneil spent the whole day at work. At the night, they were sitting on the bed and they were talking. They heard the knock on the door they looked at the door and they saw Bheema.

Bheema: Shweta ma'am is calling you both for dinner.

Avni nods.

Avni: OK.

Bheema nods and she goes. Avneil got up. Neil came to Avni and holds her hand. Avni looked at the hands then she looked at Neil. Neil also looked at her and Avni understood why Neil did this. She knew that he cares for her and now is worried for Avni and Baby. Avni smiled to see him. Neil also smiled.

Neil was taking Avni from the corridor and he slowly took Avni from the stairs and Avni was holding the staircase also the Khanna family smiled to see them.

Neil: Slowly, slowly. Slowly.

Avni looked at him and she smiled. Neil took her to the dining table and then Neil make her sit.

Neil: you ok?

Avni wipes the sweat from her upper lips and forehead. She nods. Neil gave her water.

Avni: I will have it. You sit and have dinner.

Neil nods then he sat on the chair and serves Avni and himself. Avni doesn't want to eat that but to see Neil, she didn't say anything. Avni was having dinner slowly and to see her, Neil understood that she is not liking the food and craving for something. Neil thinks. He got up and goes. Everyone was looking at him. Neil came back with a bowl of noodles and kept that on the table in front of Avni. Avni widens her eyes and she got excited but she controlled herself and looked at Neil.

Neil sighed her eat. Avni shook her head to see him then she looked at the food and took a bit. Neil took away that plate and placed the noddles in front of Avni. Avni looked at Neil.

Neil: have it. I know, you are not liking the food so eat it. Eat it then you have to take medicine.

Avni was looking at him. Neil picked up the fork and tried to feed her. Avni looked at the family and they looked at their plates intentionally. Neil also looked at them and smiled then Avneil looked at each other and Neil feeds Avni. They smiled.

Neil: now, have it.

Avni nods.

Neil sits and Avni starts eating like a child. Neil and the Khanna family smiled to see her. Neil got up and goes to the other side and he clicked Avni's pictures. Everyone smiled. Neil sighs to see Avni.

Neil in mind: please God, protect my Avni and baby from every problem.

Neil looked at Avni and smiled.

A few days passed but Neil was worried for Avni though he always tries to make him understand that it is normal nowadays but still he was concerned for Avni and Baby. Neil was extra careful now. He gives support to Avni to walk. He picked and dropped Avni from the office even drops her to the cabin and takes her from there.

One day, Avni was laying on the bed and was sleeping but suddenly she frowns. She felt a pain in her abdomen and squeezed her eyes and the intensity of the pain increased.

Avni: aah.

Avni was in severe pain. Avni was holding her womb.
