You've just finished reading and I really hope you enjoyed this story. It's approximately 75k words long and right now the longest story I've ever written.

I'd like to adress some of the things I wanted to convey here in this story.

The structure: the whole story is written from Moon Sunny's pov, except that we get little excerpts from Hyungwon in the prologe and the epilogue. Thus, you will not know the details of the other worlds he had experienced. I'll live it to your imagination.

The chapter titles: the titles were mainly taken from the dictionary of obscure sorrows. I first came across these words in pinterest and back then I was still plotting UTEoT. I felt as if these words really conveyed what I wanted to here. Somehow they really matched the story.

The theories: a few parallel world theories were described in earlier chapters but if you want to learn more do search up everettes many world theory and schroedinger's cat. I've always found time travelling and alternate world theories very interesting. It was really fun doing the research to write this story.

The ending: I believe that I've made most things clear in the ending. Though there may remain some ambiguity. Actually, I love confusion.

The message: this story is heavily inspired from my own jin fanfiction called alternate. In that story, I wanted convey how you should always look out for someone because you don’t know what they're going through, until maybe when it's too late and all there's left are regrets.

The same notion follows here too, however, there's anothing important thing I've learned and wanted to share here: sometimes you can't save someone and it's not your fault.

Alternate was a texting fic and this was a thoroughly written one so I could pour more of my feelings here. I want to say that if you love someone with your whole and if they're going through something, you might want to give them your everything. But you should know that you matter too. So when you are going through something yourself, ask for help. Please talk.

Please never invalidate your own feelings in the process. No pain is ever small if it's hurting you. Don't compare your hardships to others.

The story is dedicated to my best friend here, Aaliyah Fairuz, whom I lost in june, 2021. I'll never forget her. It was really hard to continue writing this story after she left us, because she was one of the only reasons I was still writing on this app. Nonetheless, I completed it. Hope you're proud of your internet mom, Al. 

This story is also dedicated to anyone who has ever lost anyone to suicide, and/ or has ever thought about committing suicide themselves.
