The she-cat sat hunched over the un-moving body of her mate.

Her eyes wide as she stared down at the body, a large scratch from her mate's shoulder and down her mate's back. Though that wasn't the most noticable injury, it was the gruesome sight of her mate's throat being ripped open, blood still flowing out.

She stopped herself from gagging though the unbearable sadness that was coursing through her nearly made her wish to gag instead.

She didn't want this, she said she wouldn't get hurt, she promised. She should've made them promise too.

It's their fault, all their fault. They did this.

It's their fault!

The she-cat started to snarl. They killed her mate, and she will get revenge.

( * )

The she-cat held an intimidating glare over the battle-field. New scars could be found on her body, though they were minor. For once, in a long time, she felt happy, satisfied, she was getting her revenge.

Though, once she got sight of a certain tom, she felt her blood boil. A dark brown tabby, with glaring amber eyes. Barkstar.

She growled. She will be the one to take his life.

She leaped out of the bushes taking a sprint towards the tom. Unsheathing her claws she pounced on the tom, both of them becoming a flurry of claws and fangs.

It was almost like everything disappeared when she landed that final blow...

The one swipe that ended it all. She couldn't hear the yowls of her comrades as they ran into battle, she reached her peace, she didn't need to.

Though it might have actually been silent. She wasn't sure. All she saw were the wide eyes of every cat  that stopped to stare at her, in pure shock.

"She killed Barkstar!" A cat yowled, shattering the silence.

"We have to run, she'll kill us all!"  Another yowled, before all she could see were a flurry of pelts leaving the clearing, distraught yowls following them.

She herself was surprised. She did it, she finally did it. She felt joy and pride flush throughout her body from nose to tail tip.

Closing her eyes she took a breath. I did it. She thought.

Though she didn't know she caused something more.
