Juliet and Embry were both dreading for this day. The last day of summer vacation, and the day she was leaving back to her home town. They both knew it was going to come, but they didn't want to think it was over, but neither of them had an answer.

Were they going to just make this summer a fleeting memory? Or are they going to continue despite the long distance? It was the thing they needed to discuss on this final day, but things didn't turn out as expected.

Juliet had been at the beach, waiting for Embry like usual, but hours went by, and he did not show. The sun was nearly gone, and it was getting late for her, and her phone kept ringing, being her parents to remind her that they were leaving and would miss their flight if she doesn't return soon.

Juliet had described the feeling like her heart had shattered, as she felt tears fall down her face. She had been stood up, and for her, that was enough to say, that this summer 'romance' or whatever you call it, was over. She had wanted to tell Embry she would try the long distance, but now, she knew that was hopeless.

So, Juliet in anger threw her phone to the sand as she cried to herself, looking at the beach burning the memories she had spent with Embry, knowing that she wouldn't be able to forget it.

From the distance, a grey wolf had been watching her the entire time she had shown up, it was Embry. He had phased at the wrong moment, and now he couldn't even see Juliet one last time with a happy memory. Instead, she thinks he stood her up, and it pained him greatly, as he apologized over and over.

A chocolate brown wolf who was Quil Ateara, walked beside him, looking at the girl Embry had told him and Jacob all about. He and the entire pack had heard Embry's pained thoughts, all of them not wanting to speak up not wanting to hurt him any more than what he was already feeling.

After her crying and yells of frustration, Juliet had run from the beach no longer in the view of the wolves, but they could all still hear her cries loud and clear.

"It'll be okay Em" Quil tried to comfort his best friend, but Embry just looked at the distance for a moment, then turned running away. Quil didn't chase after him knowing Embry needed time alone after having the unfortunate turn of events.

He couldn't help but feel pity for Juliet not knowing what was happening. He and Jacob had wanted to meet her, but with everything going on, and the sudden phasing for him, and his friends, they all couldn't focus on their own personal affairs when there is a threat coming to the city.

After a while, when Juliet had returned home, she wasn't the same considering this to be her first heartbreak. She didn't know how to handle it properly, and so she ended up destroying anything that reminded her of Embry.

She just wanted to forget all about him, and forget everything she felt with him, but it was not going to be easy, because those memories were staying no matter how much she wanted to forget. That magnetic force, and what fate had in store for her, was only beginning.
