6. If, whether: coi, xem ( dùng trong câu gián tiếp, thuật lại những câu hỏi)

Ex: He asked whether we wanted a drink.

7. Whether or not: dẫu có... hay không.

Ex: He will be happy thether or not she loves him.

( dẫu có yêu được cô ấy hay không anh ta cũng vui vẻ)

8. Whether: có nên.

Ex: I am not sure whether to resign or stay on.

9. Do you think/if,whether: liệu.

Ex: Do you think it is going to rain?

10. Woukld rather...than, better: thà

Ex: She would rather die than lose her daughter.

11. Do better to do something: nên làm gì đó thì hơn/ có khôn thì.

12. Better: thà rằng

36. In the long run: cho tương lai sau này.

Ex: It will help you in the long run.
