I once again thoughts as I slide open my eyes, only to saw the mushroom-haired boy who's slept peacefully beside me, his arms around me.

"UM E-eve", I called him soft enough, my voice lower, I don't want to suddenly shock him but still I got no response.

"Eve-Kun", I shook him gently and caused Eve to stifle a little before his eyes fixed open.

His golden orbs met mine

"Oh Sou-Chan, you are awake already. What time is it right now?" he said lowly, swept his eyes using his white sleeve.

Made the black pitch bangs under his eyes obvious enough to be seen.

Making me feel guilty—wait guilty?feeling?what is it again?

"4:05 am—I-I'm sorry to wake you u-up, it's still e-early a-after all", I mumbled, downcast my head as Eve just titled his head to the side before letting out the little chuckled.

It's adorable

"Wwww Sou-Chan, it's okay. Don't feel all bad okay? I sleep long enough so don't worry, okay" He said softly, patted my head. Slightly made my brown-haired messing badly but despite all of these I love it.

I love Eve's head pats, I love the warm he gave me.

I just shut off my eyes as he keeps patted me while chuckled.

"Moo Sou-Chan, you're so cute!I—can't no longer breathing because of your cuteness~!", He giggled, as the pink-tinted mixing on my cheeks.

I grabbed his sleeve, still downcast. Eve just let out the confused noises as I hugged him, buried my head on his neck. His ears were red for an unknown reason.

"S-sou-chan?"

"Eve-Kun is so cute!"

"E-eh?"

"EVE-CHAN IS MORE CUTE THAN ME!"

"Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?!"

"THE BEST MUSHROOM BOY EVER!"

"S-sou—C-chan?!"

"NOT TO MENTION HE'S SO GENIUS AND KIND,100 PERCENT PERFECT HUSBANDO MATERIALS"

"Husbando?—eehhhh sou-cha-"

"S-sou-chan, quit it, you make me—"

"EVE-CHAN IS THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD. HE IS SO PRECIOUS AND CUTE PRECIOUS AND CUTE PRECIOUS AND CUTE PRECIOUS AND CU—", before I can continue, my body shut off on its own, landed on the mushroom-haired boy as he just keeps embraced me. The woman's voice was escaped after the awkwardness out of nowhere.

"Battery low-", was what the voice stated.

Eve just widened his eyes, not even blink as the realization sinked in.

"Sou-chan,d-do you perhaps forget to charge yourself before going to sleep?", he asked in the small panicky voice.

And being responded by a none-of course I've been shut down after all.

The heavy sighed escaped from his lips."Sou-chan you're really—"

I'm sorry—that's what I'm trying to say to him but my voice was gone.

He just stroked the back of my hair softly instead before lifted me up in the bridal style and dashed his way to one of the big portals.

He gently put me inside, left the small peck of a kiss on my forehead.

"Sleep well, Sou-Chan"

And with those last words, he closed the portal as the light illuminated inside the whole portal, and once again the void dark welcomed me once again in order to charge back my energy.

I hate being a robot

I felt nothing

And despite that, Eve still with me, always.

"We're friend after all", he said

"Friend will always help each other in needed", he said.

Then why

Why—

I can't do anything-

When the time he needed me the most.

Why I felt so short—

Why I can't be able to reach him out.

"E-Eve", I cried out, hugged the mushroom-haired boy who's now had a hole in every part of his body, blood pouring down fast enough as my palm slightly put pressure on it but it's still useless.

"S-sou", his voice reached out as he sticks out his hand and wiped away my tears.

"L-live on", he said with those pale lips.

"What are you talking about Eve-Kun!", I screamed, my voice ranged in anger.

Anger? Feeling?

"Leave me and run away. There are after you. Go away and survive", he spoke weakly.

Leaving you?

"Do you think I can leave you? Say if I have thrown you away, would living with a smile again will be easier? Because my chest is hurting.P-please don't say anything anymore!", I cried out, hugged him and try my best to dragged him out but It's for nothing because my body was a way too weak.

Battery low-the same woman voice spoke again as my eyes were widened.

"NO NO NO NOT NOW"

"Sou-"

"WHY IT MUST BE NOW"

"Sou listen to-"

"PLEASE, please let me save him, let me save Eve-Kun. I weak without him, please give me a chance, I-"

My words were cut off as Eve hugged me enough to make me stop.

"No matter how close I get to you—we're still going to be apart huh?", he spoke slowly as he brought his face closer before gently connected his lips to mine, enough to my awareness.

It's short, but seeing Eve smile after it makes the blooming smile on my face coming back.

"Sou-Chan, listen to me you need to go now, I want you to keep safe. Your battery is enough for you to run away and go to my friend's base that I located to your data before, okay"

"B-but"

"Sou-chan—argh", he coughs some blood.

As his gorgeous golden eyes are now limp and lifeless.

"I don't have enough time, Sou you must go now", he pleaded, the tears performing on the edge of his golden limp orbs.

"But it's awful, I'd rather die as long as I can be with you", I sobbed, tightly my hug on him, squeezed his white or now red coat, harshly. Refused to let him go.

Still hold him tight, I won't let him go. So it's okay—even I have to vanish along.

It's okay

"Sou-Chan, I won't die, never, you know why?"

"But you got a shot, and your blood, it's all-"

"Shhhhh", he put his finger on my lips.

"You know why?", He asked as I shook my head.

Smile a little, he said-

"Because I will always be alive, right here", he tapped his fingers on my chest.

"In my-

"In your heart, always"

And that was his last words to me, before I ran away to the unknown place—and survive until now-
