Valentine(please be mine) Chapter 1
The next day, Kagami arrives at the park. She does not bring her fencing gear because she came to think. She sighs and has no one to share her innermost thoughts and sorrows. Ever since the breakup, she has had depression.
A sudden gust of wind blows something in her direction. She looks at it closely.
"A Valentine for me?"
She reads the poem. She feels touched by the words the mysterious person left for her.
She looks around but does not see him.
"Who could have sent such a lovely poem as this one?"
He has a good taste and such talent. She wonders if perhaps they have met, and she does not know.
Kagami reads the poem once more, but this time aloud instead of to herself.
"A lovely Valentine"
Anonymous
A lovely Valentine, Oh, will you be mine?
Words can not express
one so fine
as the girl
who has won my heart,
right from the very start.
A lovely Valentine,
She smiles despite being sad,
How I wish I could make her glad,
so her smile could be genuine,
My dear sweet, love
with short blue hair,
and the deep dark brown eyes
which reminds me of things
beyond the yonder skies.
Kagami,
is her name
all the same
but I fear she will not want me near
this dear
sweet Valentine,
so sublime.
I stand afar
and watch her
in all her beauty
and hope for the day
she will say okay.
My lovely Valentine,
Oh, will you be mine?"
She looks to see if the sender gives any clues.
She finds a note that simply reads, "Valentine (please be mine)."
She notices there is a funny drawing beside it that looks like some bright green eyes.
"Oh, so he has green eyes."
She glances around once more.
She sees no one.
How is she to know it is not a cruel joke to play with her heart?
She shakes her head and takes the poem and note home with a new step in her heart.
Meanwhile, the sender is in a tree a long distance away.
He watches her through binoculars. He smiles when he sees she kept the things he left.
He only wishes he were better with girls. He sighs as she looks for him before she goes.
Someday, my love will meet, but not today.
He goes home shortly after she leaves.
His dog nudges him.
"Yes, I did it. I left her something special. She seems to like it."
He pets his dog with thoughts of the sweet, Japanese bluenette on his mind.
The story continues in Chapter 2
Until then,
bye-bye,
little owlets!
Summer out!
Author's note: This story is meant to be a two-shot story, so I will do my best to make Chapter 2 as long as I can.
