Chapter 4: Fimbulwinter

The camp was quiet this morning. Eir sat in the look out tree, stretched out along the branch she was on. The sunlight that was able to breach through the clouds gently warmed her pelt.

Snowflakes still fluttered around in the air, but the snowstorm for the past while was seemingly dying down for now.

As she laid in the branch, her ear suddenly flicked. She sat up, her ears pushed forwards suddenly.

Was that... groaning?

She steadied herself on the branch, before jumping off and taking flight. She flew upwards, and her eyes scanned the borderline of the camp's territory.

Were those... cats?

They were moving strange, and when she flew a bit closer, her eyes widen. Their pelts were decaying and looked frostbitten. Jaws open in a silent groan, besides the groaning as they made their frozen muscles move at a frighteningly quick pace.

"Helwalkers," Eir muttered. She turned, flying back to camp in a quick fashion. She swooped down, landing in the center of camp.

"Everyone! Helwalkers are coming! Be ready for a fight!"

A loud booming voice was heard announcing Fimbulwinter has arrived. A discussion chain will be place for everyone to discuss what this means and what to do.

A strange bright beam of light is coming from across the valley. Yrsa, Argent, and Valor have been chosen to go and investigate.
