Forever Thine - The Dahlia

Ocher and pale, rosy and frail,

A group of scarlet soldiers, a courageous tale.

Seedlings of emeralds and rubies,

Flaxen and auburn, glorious beauties.

Lavenders and lilacs, amorous and humble,

Loves and yearns, never stumbles.

Spheres of adoration, gilded epicenters,

Diverse tints, same splendors.

O' wonderful dahlia, I accept, I do not decline,

My soul bleeds, I feel all confined.

Like a twisted vine, my heart isn't fine,

So have mercy, o' being so divine,

Be mine, as I am forever thine.
