Cynthea Nigma sat at a counter drawing her latest inspiration on her hand with the sharpie they use on the cups. Her latest inspiration was the butterfly that had made its home in the flowerbed outside the window.

It was early in the morning and she had just opened the store so not too many people were there. Only the mother with her nosy child and her great friend, Priya Wells-Wayne. They had been friends since their mutual friend Jim Gordon handed Cynthea over to the Waynes for a night when her criminal father went to jail and she didn't have anyone else to go to.

She really only bonded bonded with Priya but she constantly saw Dick, and his best friend Wally. Sadly Jason Todd died shortly after her stay, she thought she'd seen him a few times around the city but she just left that to grief. Tim Drake and Damian Wayne both came to stay with Bruce after her stay so she'd only seen them a couple of times.

But back to the matter at hand, Dick Grayson. The first of Bruce's chain of orphans he saved. Dick had decided that he had to come in and order coffee. Everyday. Very early in the morning.

Cynthea had been very focused on her drawing that she didn't notice Dick come in until Priya did. "What did I tell you about coming here, right after we open."

"It's the highlight of your day?" Dick said with a huge smile, Priya stared at him with an annoyed look and he quickly back tracked. "Okay, okay, okay! I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But technically I'm not here for you."

"Thin ice." Priya said before she continued to set up behind Cynthea, who had come out of her trance to watch the two siblings. Dick leaned closer to Cynthea with a bright smile. A billionaire's son smile.

"What can I get you today?" Cynthea said not bothering to put on her customer service voice, but she still had a soft smile.

"The usual." Dick said with a dopey smile pointed her way. Cynthea sighed and put her sharpie down.

"You don't have a usual." Cynthea reminded him. "You've ordered 5 different drinks this week alone."

"How about you make me your usual, Thea." Dick said standing up while admiring her, she tried not to blush at the nickname.

"I'm going to make you the most disgusting drink I can." Cynthea said with a smirk as she got up, Dicks look didn't drop.

"I can't wait." Dick said with a soft and low tone. Priya rolled her eyes from behind them and walked over to Dick while Cynthea was gathering the ingredients.

"Flirting like that isn't gonna get you a cookie or a date." Priya teased him making Dick snap his head over to her.

"I'm not taking advice from you." Dick said leaning forward with a teasing smile. "You only hang out with Wally. It's like you're hiding away from any relationship that comes your way."

"Barbara and I made a bet to see if you'd say yes if she asked you out." Priya said back quietly. "I said no."

"How much money did you lose?" Dick asked losing his confidence.

"None. I gained 20 bucks." Priya said leaning away.

"$20!" Dick yelled causing everyone to look over at him.

"What bet did you make this time, Dick Bird?" Cynthea asked holding out the coffee.

"We made a bet to see if he'd have the balls to ask out the girl he's been talking to." Priya commented getting a glare from Dick.

"Oh." Cynthea said ringing him up. "5 dollars, please."

"What? Oh yeah." Dick handed her the money and she then turned away to go into the back. "Where's she going?"

"Probably to wallow cause her crush likes another guy." Priya said looking behind her. "Or grabbing the cookies."

"You're in a scheming mood today." Dick tsked as he walked out. Priya just smiled back at him before going back to work.

Cynthea soon returned with a tray of.. freshly baked cookies. Priya looked at her confused. "Did a baking fairy bless us this morning."

"I wouldn't call myself a fairy." Cynthea said placing them in the display case. "I'm more of a nature spirit."

"Freshly baked cookies huh." Priya said looking them over.

"Couldn't sleep last night."

Last Night

'You're just wrong.' Cynthea said sitting on her kitchen counter. Nightwing was leaning against the opposite.

'Ross and Rachel were so toxic.' Nightwing laughed, he hadn't worked up to taking his mask off yet or to taking the voice manipulator off but it was nice that she had someone to talk to. She wasn't the best at falling asleep.

Nightwing had stopped at her house a few times at the end of his patrol. They had talked a few times before these little late night hang outs. Her father was The Riddler, so when she was captured Nightwing was usually the one to save her. He reminded her of someone but she couldn't quite tell who.

'I don't disagree, I'm just saying they had some cute moments.' Cynthea said leaning her head against the cabinets behind her. 'I'm hungry.'

'Hi hungry, I'm Nightwing.' Nightwing said with a cheeky smirk, Cynthea rolled her eyes.

'How tall would you say you are?' Cynthea said her sleep deprived mind making her lips more loose.

'Above 6 feet?' Nightwing said confused and scared.

'I can't reach my mixer unless I'm on a chair-' Cynthea explained before she got interrupted by Nightwing who stood up fully.

'No way are you getting on a chair.' Nightwing said and if Cynthea was anymore delusional she'd think he looked concerned.

For the next 30 minutes Nightwing and Cynthea made cookies together. Double fudge of course, it was Cynthea's favorite.. which Nightwing seemed to know? She brushed it off.

The cookies were in the oven and Cynthea was on the couch. She swore she was wide awake but as Nightwing talked about his favorite patrol times she felt herself drift off.

Before she fell asleep she felt just the urge to say one more thing to the nice hero who's saved her from boredom and from death.

'I love you.'

When Cynthea woke up she had found wrapped cookies on her counter. One shaped like a heart, but that all went out the window when she talked to Dick. God this was like some stupid Rom-Com.

When she got off of her double, Priya had already hitched a ride with Wally. So she was stuck walking to her car alone... or so she thought.

As she walked out of the shop, Dick popped out of nowhere with a cup of coffee in his hands. One that said Mrs. Grayson. She rolled her eyes and walked with him. Taking a sip she sighed at the taste of her usual 5 sugars.

"You are an angel, Dick Grayson." Cynthea said stopping suddenly.

"Everything okay?" Dick asked looking around, but she was just gazing at him in the light.

"You look really nice today." Cynthea said looking at him with a fond look. "How tall would you say you are?"

Dick looked nervous as he searched her face. "Around 6'2" I guess."

"Can you help me put my mixer away?" Cynthea asked as she started walking.

"Anything you want." Dick said matching her pace.

"Boy, you're a wonder." Cynthea said not getting the laugh that came out of Dick.

Or how he knew exactly where to put her mixer without her having to tell him
