*Chiz's pov...*

I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. It must be Biz. I took a deep breath. It's time.

Biz entered the room.

"Oh there you are! I was looking for you. You probably got onto another ship when we left." Biz said when she saw me.

Her face went from relieved to deeply confused.

"Why do you have your suitcase packed?" Biz asked, "Are you going somewhere?"

"I've turned in any keys or combinations on your desk..." I said, motioning towards the desk.

"Chiz..." Biz said quietly.

"..And I also have my Vizion pin..." I added, handing her the pin.

"Chiz." Biz repeated, trying to get my attention.

"...And I have everything packed up. It's been an honor being your assistant. I will wait for your dismissal." I finished. All I could do after that was stare at the floor.

Biz knelt down to my level, "I think it's about time we saw each other eye to eye."

She took my pin and attached it back onto my shirt.

"I don't under-" Biz raised her hand to cut me off.

"You're just going to have to trust me." Biz replied.

I finally looked up and had eye contact. Her face did not look mad or stressed. Instead, her smile gave me a sort of warm fuzzy feeling inside. I nodded in reply.

"You probably already know this, but I going to remind you again: I'm not like other Captains." She said, beginning to pace the room a little, "I know you think it's obvious, but I'm serious."

Biz took a deep breath before continuing.

"I was just like you at one time, possibly even younger. I was an assistant to a Vizion Captain too. Yet, I had stricter rules to follow and harsh punishments for failure. That is why I'm not like them. I won't be that harsh because I know how hard it is. Sure, sometimes I get stressed, but I really try not to be too strict. Am I too strict?" Biz continued.

"No, not at all!" I quickly responded.

"Come on, be honest. This is a moment where we can just pour out our feelings. There will be no consequence for this moment, so anything you want to say, you should say it now." Biz replied.

"Umm....I..umm" I stuttered.

Biz said nothing in reply to my useless stuttering, she had her back turned to me. With the pressure, I finally broke.

"I'm so sorry Captain! I just....well, I was training so that I could get into Zarling's army. I had no idea it was his secret army or that he was planning to assassinate you! When I found out, I was so sure you were going to fire me. This is all my fault! I didn't mean to work against you! And all those other times, I-*sigh* I didn't mean to let you down." I confessed.

I looked where Biz was standing, but she wasn't there. I looked left and right, only for her to be right behind me. I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw her behind me. For a moment, I thought she was going to grab me or slap me, but she only tackled me onto my bed and we began to have a tickle fight.

The two of us laughed a little. The best part of it though, was the fact that Biz was also having fun and laughing as if...as if she were reliving the childhood she never had.

A knock came at the door. We both fell dead silent. Biz just quietly walked over to the door.

"Oh hey Diz." Biz said.

"Do you realize what time it is?" Diz asked.

Biz glanced back at the clock. "Oh my goodness, it's so late! Thanks for the reminder! Okay bye!" Biz quickly responded before she closed the door.

She turned back to me. "Funny thing, I've never had to do that to a person until now."

"Captain?" I asked.

"Yeah, Chiz?" Biz replied.

I gave her a hug. "Thank you for not firing me."

I suddenly came to my senses and backed away, feeling kinda embarrassed. But Biz just returned my hug and I hugged along with her.

"Of course. You're my assistant and I could never ask for anyone better." Biz replied.

That night, I smiled wider than I ever had in my life.
