I sat on the cold metal floor looking up at the blue pod in front of me. I crossed my legs and placed my arms on my knees, placing my chin into my hands. Keith had been in the Altean contraption for a week after a mission went horribly wrong. Letting out a grunt of frustration, I flopped onto my back.

"When is he gonna come out of that freaky pod thing?" I asked out loud. I closed my eyes, listening to the sounds of the castle. I found that laying down and closing my eyes helped me calm down and think. Honestly, it kind of put me to sleep as well. I started to drift off to sleep laying on the floor of the infirmary.

"(Y/n)?" I heard just before I was able to reach a sleeping state. 

"Gah! What the quiznack Lance! You scared me" I exclaimed toward the Cuban boy. He just shrugged in response, putting his hands in his pockets.

"What are you still doing in here? You haven't left once!" He spoke gently

"I'm worried! He's my boyfriend! I want to be here when he comes out of there." I responded returning my gaze to the pod. I released a soft gasp as I heard a slight hiss coming from Keith's containment. I dashed forward and caught Keith just before he hit the floor. 

"Lance go get the others!"

"Right!" I watched as the tall male ran out of the room to fetch the rest of the crew.

Turning my attention to the one in my arms, I tightened my grip on him, pulling him into a hug. His violet eyes stared into my (Y/E/C) ones. Before I could process what was happening, Keith's lips were on mine. I was surprised at first by his act of affection, but I soon melted into the sweet kiss. I put my arms around the boys neck and tangled my fingers in his mullet. Keith pulled me closer to his body, deepening the once innocent kiss. Our passionate exchange was cut short when we heard footsteps quickly approaching the room.

"Keith! You're ok!" Pidge blurted out, dashing towards the red paladin. Hunk followed closely behind her, tears already running down his face. I chuckled quietly upon seeing the scene in front of me unfold.

I took a step back as I watched the rest of the crew come and welcome Keith back. I smiled, happy my boyfriend was back and everyone was so excited to see him alright.
