Dragon ball super Broly has recently come out where we get to see a brand new Broly and GOD DAMN HE LOOKS COOL! but how does he compare to the original? Let's find out shall we?

For DBZ Broly we will only be using Broly from the legendary super saiyan and broly second coming, so no bio broly and no ssj 3 Broly.

Then for dragon ball super broly obviously we will only be going off of... Well the dragon ball super Broly movie since that's all we got.

So let's go over the old before we get in with the new then shall we?

ATTACK POTENCY

DBZ Broly should be multi solar system level, this is due to very quickly destroying a galaxy, however since he didn't simply one shot it we can't call it galaxy level, you can however argue him to be galaxy level with multipliers so we'll say multi solar system level - galaxy level.

Speed

Broly should be over quadrillion times faster than the speed of light

Keep in mind in the second coming Broly was more powerful than ssj dead Goku, therefore if we times this by 50 Broly is 122.5 quadrillion times faster than light.

Dbs Broly should be multi solar system level, we've already been over why the universe level shit cannot be used and the fact that the shockwaves did most of the shaking of the universe makes the feat unquantifiable, as for shaking the void well.... He's shaking nothing, the only way for the world of void to work is there to be an area around the void with gravity time and so on, so if Goku is shaking that then it's also unquantifiable, so the best we can do is say he's stronger than Cell who's solar system level....and that's going off statements 😂
If we go by feats alone then top tier dragon ball super is star level (besides Zeno)

So let's just put him at solar system + to multi solar system level. Though keep in mind he does increase in power very fast.

Let's high ball and say Broly is somehow equal to Whis who could go from Beerus's planet to Earth in about 35 minutes, at best this can be put at about 2 quadrillion times FTL.

I'm gonna get a swarm of fans after me for this however I honestly don't see dbs Broly winning, even the Whis speed feat puts him slower than lssj broly and there's nothing to prove dbs Broly is that fast as for attack potency even restricted super saiyan Broly has better feats soooo yeah, I know people enjoy wanking canon dragon ball but it doesn't work without proper feats backing it up, especially when the toei verse actually does have feats to back it up.
