The first round of our smash brothers tournament! Ness vs Ryu. This fight definitely looks like a weird one from just looking at the characters, a small boy vs a big strong martial artist 😂😂 and two characters that I don't care much for 😂

So let's begin starting with Ryu

Speed

Ryu is massively hyper sonic thanks to the fact that he's fought multiple characters on this level such as Akuma and alpha 3 M Bison.

Attack potency

Ryu is small island level possibly large island level if you want to high ball him, this is because he can take on Akuma who smashes islands and mountains pretty easily.

Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Chi Manipulation, Energy Blasts, Master of Shotokan Karate, a variant style with roots as an assassination art known as Ansatsuken, The ability to use the Satsui no Hadou (Surge of Murderous Intent)(An innate Ki which Ryu possesses, increases his fighting capabilities and the strength of his ki attacks, can teleport and but also turns him into a half-demon like Akuma and can also use the "Raging Demon", (the same move that Akuma used to destroy Bison in Street Fighter II) an attack that can destroy the host's Soul

Now let's go to ness

Speed

Ness most likely has immeasurable speed because of the fact that he became one with the universe when he touched the truth of the universe. You could argue this makes him omnipotent however then he would have easily stomped Giygas which he didn't.

Attack potency

He became one with the universe which of course would make him 4D as he gained all the power from the time and space from that universe as well. He also defeated Giygas who is on this level.

Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, PSI (Teleportation, Telekinesis, Telepathy, Energy Manipulation, Healing, One Hit Kill, Can Inflict and remove status ailments (Such as Sleep, Paralysis, Uncontrollable crying, Confusion) Forcefield Generation (For non-psychic attacks only, also grants Attack Reflection), Can harm intangible and Non-Corporeal beings (Capable of hitting ghosts and the Starmen), and Can double his Guts with Sudden Guts Pill | Same as before, but more powerful, Limited Immortality (Type 6, his spirit will reunite with his original body even after being destroyed, but only one time), and Immunityto Mind Control

Conclusion

OK I have to make this clear. Ryu wouldn't last a single second against ness, he gets completely man handled by Ness in this fight. Ness has him beat in every category hundreds of times over.
