Ellen, Eunbi, Taehyung, Yoongi and Hyunwoo all gathered in the living room of Eunbi's house.

Ellen slowly helps Eunbi sit down, pulling the hem of her shirt over her little two month old baby bump.

"Do we need to do this?"
Eunbi chimes uncannily as Taehyung stares at her.

"Yes, Eunbi. As much as you don't want to, we need to know what's going on... And your radio is the only one that works out of all of ours."
He says, a stern expression gracing his delicate features.

She nibbles on her inner cheek, nodding hesitantly as Yoongi flips through different broadcasts.

"This should be the right one, from what I can remember."
He mumbles, tilting his head in confusion.

"Is your sex life boring? Are you not satisfied with it? Well then, we-"

Ellen gasps, immediately covering Hyunwoo's ears.
"Yoongi!"

Yoongi scrambles to the radio, changing the broadcast immediately. A flying cushion slams into him as he falls over onto Taehyung who catches him in laughter.

"You idiot! The right one, my ass!"
She screeches, removing her hands from Hyunwoo's ears as Eunbi bursts into a fit of giggles and Yoongi throws the cushion back at her, his face contorted in a sour mood.

"Shut the f-... fudge up."
He saves himself smoothly, receiving glares of death from the protective mother.

Eunbi stares at Hyunwoo, his innocent eyes blinking in confusion as a soft smile spreads across her face.

Hmm... I can't wait to see you, my little baby. Hyunwoo would be a great elder brother for you, if things don't work out with your dad...

Her lips tug downwards as Yoongi finally switches to the right broadcast.

"North Korea has been making acknowledgable advancements towards the border of South Korea.

The troops on the front lines have been doing an excellent job to prevent them from encroaching any further, although many lives have already been lost."

Eunbi nibbles on her lower lip, fidgeting with her fingers uncomfortably.

Please survive.

Taehyung glances over at Eunbi and Ellen, his eyes lingering over his sister for longer before diverting his attention back to the radio.

"Tonight, our troops have plans to make their first approach to the North border. All this time, we've been blocking the attacks of the North. Its about time we begin to retaliate."

Eunbi shuffles in her spot uncomfortably, and Ellen places her hand on the small of her back, rubbing it gently.

"Not to mention... have... Jungko... leading th-..."

The signal begins to break up, and Eunbi sits up straight immediately.
"Did he say Jungkook?"

Yoongi and Taehyung exchange glances.

"I don't think so."
Yoongi says, shaking his head.

"But I heard his name! I-It wasn't clear but I heard..."
She trails off, burying her face in her hands with a heaving sigh.

Their eyes soften in pity, as Yoongi slowly wraps an arm around her shoulder, rubbing it a little before pulling away.

"Its alright, Eunbi. You probably just heard it that way, but he didn't say anything about Jungkook. Why would they, right?"

Yoongi says, locking a worried gaze with Taehyung as he nods hesitantly.
"Y-yeah."

"Alright, that's enough for now. The signal isn't too great."
Ellen says, standing up. She helps a sulking Eunbi up, slowly walking out of the room.

Taehyung stares intently at Yoongi with a stern expression, not a single feature wavering.
"You heard it, didn't you?"

Yoongi ruffles his hair untidily, groaning.
"Yeah. Something about him leading?"

"Nothing about this seems to be heading in a good direction, Yoongi. I'm afraid things will turn out the opposite of what we expect."
Taehyung mutters, running a hand down his face.

Yoongi pats his thigh, nodding his head before standing up.
"Yeah. I have to go now."

"Where?"

Yoongi scoffs, shaking his head, a little gummy smile spreading across his face as he tugs his ball cap on, covering his eyes.

"The usual. Things to do, drugs to sell."

"JK! Watch out!"
Namjoon yells, pushing Jungkook out of the way when an arrow cuts through the air, landing upright in the grass where Jungkook was standing.

"Thanks."
He mutters, spotting a North Korean soldier lurking behind a tree.

With strained intentive eyes, Jungkook pulls the trigger. A splatter of blood and a grunt is all that's heard before the thud of a body hits the ground.

Jungkook turns around to the 400 soldiers standing behind him.

"Spread out. Each of you travel with a group of 20. Inch your way closer and set up posts everywhere. The closer we get to capital, the better. Once we have them surrounded, the war will be ours to conquer."

He says sternly, dark eyes travelling over each soldier, young and older than him.
"Yes, General!"

The new word sent goosebumps over his skin. In the span of two months, he was recognised as one of the most skilled soldiers in the army at that time.

Being the son of the former General, the military officers had no hesitation in giving him the post to follow in his father's footsteps.

"Namjoon and Jessi. Come with me."
He states, and every soldier salutes before beginning to spread out into the forest.

Once at a safe distance from the others, Jessi drapes an arm around his shoulder, pulling him into a headlock.

"General Jeon, how strong!"
She exclaims as he groans in her grasp, struggling to escape from her tight grip.

"Enough of joking around, Jess. This is serious now."
He says sternly, managing to pry open her arms as a sharp stare pierces through her.

Her eyes widen a little, and she folds her arms.
"Alright man! Jeez..."
She scoffs, shoving past him and he sighs.
"I'm sorry, I just-"

"You've changed, JK! What the hell happened to the bunny boy that bounced in here, huh?"
She yells, continuing to walk ahead, harshly stamping past the sticks and branches in her way, her gun strapped and dangling off her shoulder.

He shakes his head, as Namjoon stares at him uneasily.
"She's got a point."
He mutters, walking past Jungkook, brushing his shoulder in the process.

Jungkook grits his teeth, holding onto his gun tightly before catching up with them.
"Bunny boys won't survive this war."
He grits out, shooting Jessi a glare, before transferring it to Namjoon.
"I have responsibilities now."

Jessi laughs sarcastically, her voice bellowing through the forest.
"Oh! Responsibilities! Yeah, now that you're the General, you think we're below your dignity to hang out with now? I thought you were different, JK!"

Namjoon sighs, patting Jessi's shoulder.
"Alright, this isn't the place to talk about these things. Let's go."
Namjoon walks past them, and Jessi's lingering glare remains over Jungkook before she follows Namjoon.

Jungkook tilts his neck from side to side, shaking his head.

I can't be a boy anymore.

I have to survive this war, by all means.

If I have to abandon my troops to get back to my family, so be it.

Yeah, they can call me a coward for all they want, I don't care.

I'm not the one who chose to be in this war, so I have every right to run away if I want to.

I'm alright with being a coward, if it means surviving to be there for my wife and child.

Survive by all means possible. Survive.

"Something doesn't feel right."
Namjoon mutters, eyes travelling the dense, silent forest.

"What is it?"
Jessi pipes up, alarmed.
"Do you hear that?"
Namjoon whispers, lifting his eyes upwards and tilting his head, concentrating.

Jungkook shakes his head.
"I don't hear anything."
Namjoon slowly brings his gaze back down to them.
"Exactly."

An eerie silence hung over the forest like a thick fog that blocked any sense of sight or sound from being transmitted to them.

"We've been walking for half an hour and haven't come across a single soldier. Don't you think that's a little... suspicious?"
He states, voice lowering to a whisper.

Jessi nods, clutching onto the strap of her gun nervously.
"I think we should camp here for the night."

The trio nods, setting up the single tent for them to sleep in.

"God, I have to sleep with both of you?"
Jessi spits out, disgusted as Namjoon flicks her forehead.

She snickers, standing up and dusting her hands, staring at the medium sized camo tent.
"I'll get some wood for the fire. I'm starving!"
She exclaims, stretching and walking into the forest.

"Don't go too far!"
Namjoon yells and she nods, shooting them a thumbs up before clutching the strap of her gun.

She stops a few feet away from the tent where dried twigs and branches scattered the moss carpeted floor of the dense forest.

Namjoon takes out three cans of canned beans, and Jungkook stares at it uncannily.
"What? You don't like them?"
Jungkook shakes his head, scrunching his nose a little.

"Yah, if you want to have the strength for tomorrow, eat them. Remember, we have to survive."
Namjoon whines, forcefully shoving a can into Jungkook's hands.

Jungkook's fingers clasp onto the cold metal, staring at his distorted reflection in the glossy material.

Remember. I have to survive.

Jessi groans, bending down to pick up large branches when a snap reaches her ears.

She perks up, eyes scanning her surroundings immediately.

A light blue sunset draped over the blanket of the atmosphere, most of the light filtering through the trees and barely reaching the floor, rendering their surroundings in near darkness.

Heavy, fast footsteps are suddenly heard approaching her and she startles, dropping all the branches. In a swift motion, she lifts her hand up, pulling her gun from behind her and pointing at the darkness in front of her.

She could barely make out the silhouettes of her surroundings and with the flip of a switch, the torch on the gun lights up the path in front of her.

Her heart skips a beat when she sees a soldier running upto her hastily, tripping and falling over with grunts and groans.

The light from her torch shines upon the figure that lay on the ground, shuffling with painful grunts and soft calls for help.

"W-who are you?"
She calls, slowly stepping closer to the body. With her finger steady on the trigger, she turns the person's head towards her with her foot and gasps.

She turns around immediately, yelling to the pair of men at camp.
"Guys! I need help now!"
