Alexandra "Lexi" Hughes grew up in a prestigious hockey family ( the Hughes family, if you didn't already guess ), and everyone thought she would be interested in playing it. Instead, she gravitated towards another sport on the ice.

Figure skating at the Olympics had always been her goal in the long run. She knew that she would have to be the best, and couldn't afford any new distractions.

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics had been her opening, and she had never felt more accomplished than when she qualified for the Olympics. She knew that she had to focus on getting a gold medal. The only problem was that she was stuck in a toxic relationship with her girlfriend, Teagan. She couldn't see herself getting out of the relationship. Everything was weighing down on her shoulders.

That is, until a certain blonde United States hockey player walks into her life with a charming smile and a lot of sarcasm.
