Wavepaw hurried after Fawnclaw and Cedarstar, grateful that they had not been far from camp. When they arrived everyone was staring at a cat. He had sleek, dark brown fur and deep blue eyes. When he saw Cedarstar he smiled.

"I am Cedarstar, leader of LeopardClan, what do you want?" She asked, her pale blue gaze piercing the tom's deep blue. "My name is Spur." He said, licking his paw nonchalantly. "I want to join your clan."

Cedarstar scoffed. "Is that so, why?" Spur grinned. "Well, being a rogue is lonely, so why not join a group of cats? Besides, I'm offering my services to you." Cedarstar looked skeptical for a moment before saying, "Very well, but if you do not prove yourself in the next moon, you will be kicked out, understand?"

Spur dipped his head. "Of course, but do I have to have my name changed?" The tom seemed reluctant to have this done. "Maybe if you prove yourself." She replied before turning and vanishing into her den.

"Spur." Adderblaze said. "Fallowblossom and Batchaser are going to show you around." Spur gave a hesitant nod and allowed the two warriors to lead him away.

Wavepaw watched them curiously. "He obviously didn't want to join us just because he was lonely." He thought. "I wonder what his real motive is?"

Wavepaw's thoughts were interrupted by Berrypaw, who was holding a pigeon. "Hi Wavepaw." She mumbled. Wavepaw gave her a small smile. "How did your first day as an apprentice go?" She asked, dropping the fresh-kill.

"It was interesting." He admitted. Berrypaw nodded, her ginger fur glowing as the sun sank below the horizon.

"How do you feel about Spur?" She asked. He shrugged. "I'm not sure. I don't think he came just because he was lonely." He admitted. "Me too." Berrypaw agreed, taking a bite of the fresh-kill.

Wavepaw followed her gaze over to Spur, who was slipping into the warrior's den. He unsheathed his claws, digging them into the rocky soil. "I don't care what your doing here, but I'll shred you if you hurt a whisker on any of my clanmates!"
