Echoflight followed ThunderClan to the gathering island. It was finally the time to announce that she was going to be taking an apprentice.

The gathering started normally, with WindClan giving their news. ShadowClan shared next.

"Would you like to go next, Luckystar?" Hailstar offered.

"No, I'd prefer to go last," Luckystar replied.

The other leaders looked confused but Hailstar nodded and began to report. "Nothing new in RiverClan. Prey is running well. Your turn, Luckystar."

Luckystar dipped her head and waved her tail at Echoflight. She bounded up to the tree and climbed it, perching on a branch.

"That's not allowed!" Rowanstar protested before he was shut up by Acornstar.

"Echoflight is looking for an apprentice." Luckystar watched the cats react.

"No way!"

"Imagine how cool it'll be..."

"I'll never be chosen..."

"Wow..."

"Really..."

"I heard she's a phoney..."

"She's corrupting us..."

"This shouldn't be allowed..."

"Hmm..."

"It'd be epic..."

"What do you mean?" Acornstar questioned.

"Echoflight has decided that she wants help in her White Dove business. She'll be training an apprentice." Luckystar looked at Echoflight and she nodded.

"Could you explain a bit more?" Hailstar added.

The cats' chatter stopped, and all eyes were on Echoflight.

"I want all the warriors or apprentices who are willing to be my apprentice to stay behind tonight. I'll be interviewing them, and I will choose my apprentice," Echoflight explained.

The chatter resumed and Echoflight leapt back down from the tree.

"All cats who don't want to be Echoflight's apprentice, you can go back to your camp," Luckystar announced.

More than half the cats left with the leaders, although Acornstar gave Echoflight a wistful look.

Most of the cats who stayed were young warriors or apprentices.

"Alright, you first," Echoflight mewed to a brown tom.

The brown tom dipped his head and they went over to a corner to talk.

"Why do you want to be my apprentice?" Echoflight asked.

"I'll be respected," the brown tom replied.

"Say, if someone is suffering from grief, what would you do?" Echoflight sighed, knowing the answer wouldn't be good.

"Uhh," he stammered before running off.

Echoflight climbed the tree again before yowling. "If you're here just because you want to be cool or respected, I suggest you leave now. I'll be asking you questions."

A half of the group left.

Now there were only about five cats left.

Echoflight interviewed the first four before going onto the last tom, a gray tom with green eyes.

"Hello, Owlpaw," Echoflight dipped her head

"Hi," Owlpaw purred back.

"You're interested in becoming a White Dove apprentice?" she asked.

"I am! I've heard about everything you do! Apparently, you Touched my leader, Acornstar!" Owlpaw squeaked in excitement.

"I have," Echoflight's eyes sparkled. "If someone had anger issues, what would you do?"

"I'd find some way to help them. Maybe they could learn to calm themselves down. I could teach it to them." Owlpaw thought for a bit before responding.

Echoflight knew she had found the one. She finished the interview and headed back, ready to make her announcement.

"I've thought about it," she lied. "And I know who I'm choosing. I'm going to choose Owlpaw of WindClan."

The next night, Owlpaw met Echoflight at the border of their territory. Echoflight led Owlpaw to the Cave of Peace.

"Woah," he gasped upon seeing the glowing river.

"Firstly, you need to make sure they understand that you're trying to help," Echoflight began to teach him. "You'll ask them what's wrong and try and be comforting. If they aren't ready to share, just try and help them with what you have."

Owlpaw nodded.

"You'll find out what's bugging them and diagnose it. Then, we help them. There are generally three types of cats that I've helped. The first is grief because a cat died. It's usually from a relative or a mate. The second is anger. And the third is relationship problems. It's usually between mates or between littermates. It happens in forbidden relationships too."

"Do forbidden relationships happen a lot?" Owlpaw wondered.

"Yes, I'm sorry to say. Many cats have forbidden relationships." Echoflight sighed.

"There's so much to learn!" Owlpaw's eyes were wide.

Echoflight purred. "Yes, and we've only just started."

A/N YAY

We've finished Savior of the Clans! This has been a great book, and pretty fast too! I've written about a chapter each day, and I am currently working on Dynasty of Truth (4th book of Alone), although I seem to have lost inspiration. I will continue to update once a day until I need to slow down.

I hope you enjoyed this book!
