Why did I kill off Lionstar in A Prophecy of Four, and why will he still die?

My reasoning for killing off Lionstar in A Prophecy of Four was in the hopes that I could attempt to flesh out Redspots a lot more. I was also seriously disappointed in what Lionstar had become as a character and didn't want to carry him further into Redspots's Revenge.

Now, for Arising Shadows, he is still going to die. Not because of a shitty character development, but because of canon for Redspots's Revenge. As far as Redspots's Revenge is concerned, Lionstar is dead.

I still want to work on Redspots's Revenge since it is actually a well-developed story, so I must not break canon by as much as I can; while still making the story far better.
