The rustling leaves swiftly brushed Scourge's lifeless body. Footsteps echoed in the distance. The medicine cat's soft voice whirled through his mind. "Wake up!" Wake up! I'm here to help!" A whisper ran though his ears. Slowly, Scourge opened his eyes. A smoky dark gray she-cat's gaze continued to Scourge. "I'm healing you," she reminded him. The medicine cat picked up some cobwebs bundled beside her. The bleeding stopped. Scourge was being saved. Thank you. Scourge had never wanted to say those words before, but now, he was grateful. "Scourge," she sighed. "I knew you were the BloodClan leader, but let me just say one thing," Scourge nodded in obedience. "You must never ever be the bloodthirsty you. You must be a forest cat. Never return to BloodClan, saying that you will rule the forest and kill the forest cats. I will allow you to stay at ThunderClan camp as a prisoner. When you are trusted, you may become a full warrior of the clan. You can be Scourge. We will not change your name. Deal or not," she said. Scourge hesitated. What will the others think about me? What if they kill me? I can't let them do that! What if BloodClan is waiting for me? What if they thought I was dead? "Don't worry," Cinderpelt said as if she had read his mind. "I'll make sure they won't do anything that offends you." Scourge glanced at her crippled leg. "Then it's a deal," he croaked weakly.

"This might sting a little," Cinderpelt gently placed a herb in her mouth and chewed. She then spit it out onto his swollen leg. Scourge winced as pain lingered through his body. When she had finished, Scourge slowly lifted his legs. Cinderpelt helped him up. "Thank you," he finally said. "Now what," Cinderpelt grinned. "ThunderClan camp," Scourge nodded as he limply followed the medicine cat. "What's your name?" He asked. Cinderpelt turned her head to Scourge. "I'm Cinderpelt," she replied. Cinderpelt and Scourge continued on their way.

At last, they arrived. A brown tabby tom turned his gaze to Scourge. He quickly dropped the vole he had in his mouth. "Scourge?" He growled. Cinderpelt bared his teeth at the brown tabby. "Be respectful! Scourge is here to join the clan! Go get Firestar!" She yowled. Go get Firestar. The words echoed through his mind. Firestar. He was the one who had suffered him. Suffered. Scourge eyes widened in fear. I have nine lives of a leader, granted from StarClan! He echoed in his mind. Scourge shook his head. Firestar padded out of his moss covered den. "Greetings, Scourge," Scourge bowed. "Greetings, Firestar. I mean no harm to your clan along with the rest. I promise," Scourge remarked.
