Sapphirepaw~

As I head back to camp, prey filled in my jaws, I think of Phoenixpaw. In the medicine cat den, he gets very bored, so Shiningray lets him take walks by himself, since he is half-way to being a warrior.

Yet, he doesn't arrive back at camp until about moon-high, which is very suspicious..

As we head through the bramble-woven tunnel, the clan works peacefully as they make the walls covered more.

As Stormpaw and I drop our freshkill at the pile, we share tongues with each other, talking about how training is going.

"So, what's Flamepaw like?" I ask out of curiosity, thinking of the arrogant tom, but Stormpaw is also arrogant, so they're the perfect match for friends.

"Well, he is a great friend, and also teaches me some fighting moves that he's learning." He says slowly.

"Ah.. Okay. Do you talk to Lakepaw and Jaypaw much? Or no?" I ask, seeing the two brothers sharing tongues as well.

"Meh, not really. They're a bit.. Weird... Especially Lakepaw. He tried to eat a rock once!" Stormpaw jokes as we laugh together.

"Hey! Look, there's Flamepaw now. I'll talk to you later, Sapphirepaw. Bye!" Stormpaw heads over to the flame colored tom, as I groom my paw.

"Hey, Sapphirepaw! Would you like to go train?" Robinheart asks, as I nod eagerly.

"Of course!" I say excitedly as we head out over into the woods.

"Today we'll work on your battle moves. Sapphirepaw, attack me." Robinheart commands, ears flattened and lip curled mockingly.

Looking at Robinheart, I pinpoint a weak spot, under her belly. Looking straight at it, I run as fast as I can, and with sheathed paws, try to hit the target.

Yet, Robinheart veers out of the way. Jumping in the air, she pins me down, yet I wriggle out, spitting.

Grabbing her tail, I yank it forwards towards me, as she yowls, tugging me with her tail.

Flying through the air, she hits me on the ground, side to side.

Finally letting go, I shake the dirt off my pelt.

"That was good, but your eyes showed me where you were aiming at. Also, I would have jumped on top of your opponent when you slither out instead of grabbing their tail." Robinheart pants, as I look up at the sunsetting sky.

"Well, that's enough for today. How about we head back to camp for the night, and you can go hang out with your friends?" My mentor suggests, as I nod, once again thinking of the flame tabby tom, Phoenixpaw and where he is going off to.

"Hey Robinheart? Is it okay if I, uh, well hunt on the way back? By myself?" I say awkwardly, as the tabby she-cat nods.

Sniffing the air, I find Phoenixpaw's scent.

"Time to find what he's up to.." I mutter.
